Brief Synopsis

Eddie Miles has had to call it quits as a stunt double. Eager for a payday, Eddie is more than intrigued when reporter J.J. Dalton tells him about a major auto race that starts in Africa and sends teams over multiple continents. Desperate to cover the race, J.J. hires Eddie to fill in for the driver she lost. A huge prize is up for grabs but Eddie and J.J. face major obstacles, including a rundown car, stiff competition and treacherous terrain.

Safari 3000 is an action-adventure movie released in 1982 that takes viewers on a wild ride through the African wilderness. The movie stars David Carradine, Stockard Channing, and Christopher Lee, and is directed by Harry Hurwitz. The plot of the movie follows a group of race car drivers who are in Africa to participate in a grueling off-road race. The race, called the Safari 3000, is a three-day event that takes drivers across rough terrain, through rivers, and over dusty plains. The winner of the race will receive a cash prize of $1 million.

Carradine plays Eddie Miles, a skilled race car driver who is determined to win the Safari 3000. He is joined by Channing, who plays J.J. Dalton, an independent and tough-as-nails journalist who is covering the race. In addition to trying to win the race, Eddie and J.J. also find themselves in the middle of a dangerous plot involving a wealthy businessman (played by Lee) who is determined to sabotage the race and eliminate the competition.

The movie begins with the drivers arriving in Africa and preparing for the race. Eddie is confident in his abilities, while J.J. is more skeptical about the dangers they will face. However, she is determined to cover the event and get the story, no matter what.

As the race gets underway, the drivers face numerous challenges, from getting stuck in the mud to crossing treacherous rivers. They also face stiff competition from the other drivers, including a skilled Japanese driver who becomes a fierce rival to Eddie.

Meanwhile, J.J. begins to suspect that something sinister is going on behind the scenes. She teams up with a local journalist to investigate and soon discovers that Lee's character is using the race to smuggle diamonds out of the country. When J.J. and her new friend get too close to the truth, they are kidnapped and held hostage by Lee's henchmen.

Eddie, along with a few other drivers, sets out to rescue J.J. and the other hostages. They embark on a dangerous journey through the African wilderness, facing off against Lee's men and battling the elements.

The movie culminates in a thrilling and action-packed climax, where Eddie and Lee's character have a showdown on the dusty plains. In the end, Eddie emerges victorious and is able to save J.J. and the other hostages.
