IU shares the reason she named her concert 'The Golden Hour'

IU successfully held her 2022 solo concert ' The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun ' last weekend from September 17 to 18. Through this latest concert, she set new records as the first-ever Korean female artist to hold a solo concert at Jamsil Olympic Stadium , one of the biggest performance venues in South Korea.

Recently, IU confessed, " This will be the first and last time performing at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium,"  and shared her thoughts about the concert.

On September 22, IU posted the new episode of her YouTube talk show 'IU's Palette' with special guest Crush . During the talk show, IU and Crush were talking about concerts when Crush asked, " Why did you name your concert 'The Golden Hour' this time?"

IU responded, " When will I get to perform at the main (Olympic) stadium again? This will probably be the last time. I thought it'll be both the first and last time."  She continued to explain, " There were many times I was loved and all but, in a way - from the perspective of singer IU - this will be the most shiniest moment. So I decided to call it 'The Golden Hour.'"

In response, Crush praised IU and said, " I believe all your life it is the 'Golden hour'"  After watching the show, fans and netizens commented, " The next concert would be on a private island or an open field," "I wasn't able to attend so do it again!" "Huh? Does that mean she will have the concert in front of the Gwanghwamun?" "What is she saying?" "Then she will have a concert all throughout a country in a moving truck,"  and " For the next concert she needs to fill 100,000 seats."

SM Cinema  just announced that they will be exclusively showing the legendary concert's special cinematic cut on the big screen this September 28 and 30 .

IU's "The Golden Hour" concert was a two-day show held in September 17 and 18, 2022 at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. Gathering a total of 88,000 people in attendance, she also made history as the first South Korean female artist to headline a concert in the said venue, which is the largest stadium in South Korea and the dream venue for music artists.

The event marked IU's 14th debut anniversary; she debuted as a professional singer in September 18, 2008 via the music program M Countdown . She has since moved on to become one of the most successful and in-demand artists in the Korean entertainment industry, excelling in both the fields of music and acting.

IU announces ‘The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun’ concert

IU is officially back in the concert scene!

On Wednesday, the Korean actress and singer announced her upcoming concert titled “The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun.”

The concert poster, which featured IU with a sparkly orange background, said the concert would be held Sept. 17-18 at Olympic Stadium.

Though no dates for the Philippines have been announced, many Filipino fans have showered her posts with messages of support and anticipation.

IU’s announcement came after she shared a teaser for the project where she could be seen in a white and blue outfit.

Among IU’s popular hits are “Lilac,” “Bbibbi,” “Blueming,” and “Strawberry Moon.” She also starred on dramas such as “Hotel del Luna” and “The Producers.” – RC, GMA News

- In case of withdrawing from the Melon Ticket ID used for joining IU official Fanclub <UAENA 5th>, the pre-sale ticket purchase for fan club cannot be made.

- Even the members who have purchased the ticket through the pre-sale ticket purchase for fanclub, can also additionally purchase the tickets through the general ticket purchase within the limited number of tickets.

Each person is allowed to purchase maximum four tickets of each session with a single ID  (Including the number of pre-sale ticket purchase for fan club).

- In this performance, all the seats are reserved seats, and the ticket purchase can be made through its official site for purchase, ‘Melon Ticket’.

- Only the members of Melon Ticket site can make the ticket purchase.

- The ticket purchase for wheelchair seats can be made only through the telephone purchase at Melon Ticket Customer Center(1899-0042) from the morning on the next day of ticket open. (Operating hours: 09~18 ,  KST)

- In terms of the matters related to fan club authentication error and purchase, make inquiries to Melon Ticket Customer Center. (1899-0042)

- The ticket purchasers of this performance are required to bring the detailed statement of ticket purchase(mobile or printed) and ID on the very day of performance. If not, it is not allowed to receive the ticket.

- The change/cancellation/refund of tickets are handled at the relevant site you purchased from within the fixed period by following the regulations. The change and refund of tickets are not allowed on the very day of performance.
