Beats by Dr Dre Tour review: Beats by Dr Dre Tour

The Beats by Dr Dre Tours are great-sounding headphones that would make an excellent step up from the default iPod or iPhone set. The earbuds are curiously long, however.

beats tour 1

We're oddly enamoured with the Beats line of audacious audio products -- Dr Dre and chums have churned out some endearing, bass-heavy headphones in the last few years. The Beats Tour earphones are the latest on the chopping block -- are they worth the £100 they'll set you back?

beats tour 1

Beats by Dr Dre Tour

The bottom line, playing all the tangles.

In terms of styling, the Tours are recognisably of the Beats stable. The distinctive red cable is broad and flat, like a ribbon, which in our experience cuts down on tangling. So if -- like us -- you tend to screw your earphones into a ball before stuffing them into your pockets, they won't take so long to unwind once it's time to put them out again. The cable feels quite sturdy, so we're hopeful that they'll hold up to wear and tear in the long run.

beats tour 1

Dangling partway down the cable for the right earbud, you'll find a Beats ControlTalk remote. Ignore the fancy name, this is the same kind of in-line remote we've seen on lots of other in-ear headphones, though we still appreciate it.

If you're using an iPod , you can use the remote to control music playback, pausing or skipping track back and forth, and if you're using the Tours with an iPhone you can use the remote's built-in microphone to take calls.

Canal retentive

The earbuds themselves boast a striking design, with the signature Beats lower-case 'b' against an aluminium circle, but these are some of the weirdest shaped 'buds we've ever encountered. They're extremely long, which means that once you've stuck them into your lugholes, you might struggle to keep them stable in your ear canal.

For that reason, we'd recommend trying these headphones out before you buy them. We didn't have too many issues keeping them in our ears, but we imagine others might, so make sure you can get a tight, comfortable fit before throwing down your hard-earned dosh.

Because the Tours are quite long, they'll stick out of your ears a way (unless you have incredibly deep earholes), so the chances of them getting bashed out your ears on a crowded commute are increased.

Ace of bass

Press 'play' and you'll quickly identify the signature Beats sound -- incredibly deep and powerful bass. The Tours ladle oodles of low-end into your lugs, delivering a rich, thumping sound. Listening to Lady Gaga's Bloody Mary we felt our brains turning to jelly with each powerful bass kick.

Unlike some Beats kit, the Tours are no one-trick pony, and there's an impressive level of detail at the opposite end of the spectrum too -- losing our dignity to Katy Perry's California Gurls we noticed the cymbals sizzling quite clearly, and the subtle, high-pitched guitar sound wasn't lost in the mix.

This is full, bassy sound. Audiophiles won't be satisfied, but the Tours offer great, accessible sound that plays best with hip-hop and pop.

The Beats by Dr Dre Tours offer great sound quality for the price, and are definitely worth a look if you're a fan of bassy sound. In many ways the design is excellent -- the ribboned cable and remote are thoughtful additions, and aesthetically we're fans of the bold, bright style. Still, the curiously long earbuds mean you should definitely try before you buy.

Similarly great-sounding yet slightly oddly shaped are the Diddybeats , which are also worth a butcher's. If you want something that definitely won't slip from your noggin, examine the Sennheiser OCX 880s .

Before inserting the Tour headphones, it is important to turn down the volume on your music player to a comfortable level. 3. Take note of the "L" and "R" markings on the side of each headphone. The "L" is for the left ear, and the "R" is for the right ear. Make sure to insert the correct headphone side in the corresponding ear for the best listening experience. 4. Using your right hand, hold the right headphone. 5. With your left hand, gently pull up and back on your right ear to straighten your ear canal. 6. Carefully insert the right headphone, starting with the rubber eartip, ensuring that it seals completely and comfortably in your ear. Avoid inserting the eartip too deeply, as it may make your ear canal feel completely "plugged." 7. Repeat the same procedure for your left ear, using your left hand to hold the left headphone. 8. When you are finished using the headphones, remove them slowly with a twisting motion to gradually break the seal. By following these steps, you can properly insert the Beats Tour headphones in your ears for an optimal listening experience.

Why is it important to insert the Beats Tour headphones correctly in each ear?

It is important to insert the Beats Tour headphones correctly in each ear for several reasons: 1. Sound Quality: Proper insertion ensures that the headphones are positioned correctly in your ears, allowing for optimal sound quality. When the headphones are inserted properly, the audio is delivered directly into your ear canal, enhancing the clarity and detail of the music. 2. Noise Isolation: Correct insertion helps to create a seal between the eartips and your ear canal, which helps to block out external noise. This improves the overall listening experience by reducing distractions and allowing you to focus on the music. 3. Comfort: Inserting the headphones correctly ensures a comfortable fit. When the headphones are positioned properly, they sit securely in your ears without causing discomfort or falling out during use. 4. Safety: Proper insertion can help prevent potential damage to your ears. By positioning the headphones correctly, you can listen to your music at lower volumes while still enjoying the full audio experience. This helps to protect your hearing and reduce the risk of long-term hearing damage. By inserting the Beats Tour headphones correctly in each ear, you can enjoy improved sound quality, enhanced noise isolation, increased comfort, and prioritize your hearing safety.

How can I connect the Beats Tour headphones to my music player?

To connect the Beats Tour headphones to your music player, follow these steps: 1. Plug the Tour cable into the 1/8” (3.5 mm) stereo plug on your music player. 2. Before inserting the Tour headphones, turn down the volume on your music player to a comfortable level. 3. Take note of the "L" and "R" markings on the side of each headphone. The "L" is for the left ear, and the "R" is for the right ear. Make sure to insert the correct headphone side in the corresponding ear for the best listening experience. 4. Once the headphones are connected, you can start enjoying your music. By following these steps, you can easily connect the Beats Tour headphones to your music player and start enjoying your favorite tunes.

What are the potential risks of listening to the Beats Tour headphones at excessive volume levels?

Listening to the Beats Tour headphones at excessive volume levels can pose potential risks to your hearing. Here are the potential risks: 1. Hearing Damage: Exposing your ears to high volume levels for an extended period can lead to permanent hearing damage. The sensitive structures in your ears can be damaged by loud sounds, resulting in hearing loss or tinnitus (ringing in the ears). 2. Noise-Induced Hearing Loss: Continuous exposure to loud music through the Beats Tour headphones can cause noise-induced hearing loss. This type of hearing loss is gradual and cumulative, and it may not be immediately noticeable. Over time, it can affect your ability to hear sounds at lower volumes. 3. Reduced Speech Clarity: Listening to music at excessively high volumes can also affect your ability to understand speech. It can make it difficult to hear conversations or other important sounds in your environment. 4. Increased Risk of Accidents: When you listen to music at high volumes, you may not be able to hear important sounds around you, such as traffic or alarms. This can increase the risk of accidents and injuries. To protect your hearing, it is recommended to listen to music at a moderate volume level and take regular breaks from headphone use.

How do I select the right eartips for the Beats Tour headphones?

To select the right eartips for the Beats Tour headphones, follow these steps: 1. Start by trying out the different sizes and designs of eartips included with your Tour headphones. The eartips are crucial for achieving good sound quality, better isolation from outside noise, increased bass response, and overall comfort. 2. Begin with the smallest eartip and insert it into your ear canal. Make sure it fits comfortably and creates a good seal. The eartip should not feel too loose or too tight. 3. If the smallest eartip does not provide a satisfactory fit, try the next size up. Insert it into your ear canal and assess the comfort and seal. 4. Continue experimenting with different sizes of eartips until you find the one that fits your ear canal comfortably, provides a good seal, and stays in your ears without falling out. 5. Additionally, you can also try different styles of eartips to see which works best for you. Some people may find certain styles more comfortable or effective in achieving a secure fit. By following these steps and experimenting with the various eartips provided, you can select the right eartips for your Beats Tour headphones, ensuring a comfortable and optimal listening experience.

I received these Beats Tour 2.0 headphones as an impulse gift from my boss before Christmas a few years ago.  I was waiting for him to purchase something at a Verizon store and commented that I needed some new headphones as my previous ones (Bose MIE2i) had been eaten by my Roomba vacuum cleaner.  He said, "Pick something," and that's how I ended up with the Beats Tour 2.0s.  I chose them because they had a flat cable and I was sick of tangles; because I thought Beats were decent headphones; because they had a number of tips and flange options and I've had difficulty getting earphones to stay in my ear in the past; because they had a decent style; and, because there wasn't much else to chose from in the category.  Oh, and they were free, did I mention that?   Accessories, Comfort, & Isolation Included accessories consist of a zippered soft-shell carrying case (which is quite nice), a shirt clip, and a range of tips (single and triple, S, M, L of each) and flanges (S, L), which is helpful to finding a better fit.  However, for me, none of the tip/flange combinations ever felt right.  If I could get a good seal with a tip, it wouldn't stay in my ear.  If I'd use the flange to keep it in, I'd no longer get a good seal.  This is a longstanding problem for me - earphones not fitting and staying in my ear.  I finally read about Comply tips and ordered some for the Beats Tour 2.0.  The Comply tips immediately solved both my fit issues - they would stay in my ear and provide a good seal.  However, the Comply tips are not super comfortable to my ear (TSx-400s) which was disappointing, but it's only been a couple weeks, maybe they will improve with time, or my ears will get used to it.   With the stock tips I had to compromise isolation to get them to stay in my ear, and thus the isolation was very poor.  The Comply tips provide much nicer isolation and, as discussed below, much better sound.   Build Quality & Design This is probably the place the Tour 2.0s shine.  The shells are made of a hard plastic, the cable is made of flat rubber, and the jack is a 90 degree small profile jack.  I was, and still am, very impressed with the build quality.  I am pretty hard on things and these have stood up to my abuse.  I use these walking around, skiing, biking around town, mountain biking, etc... They are my on-the-go headphones and they've surpassed my expectations in the build quality area.    The cable is one of the best, and worst, parts of the Tour 2.0.  I really enjoy the look and feel of the flat rubber cable, and it has never even come close to tangling.  It rests nicely against a shirt and has a decent weight to it as well.  The massive downside is that any movement of the cable you will hear in your ears, even more so with the Comply tips.  The microphonics are alleviated somewhat by using the shirt clip, but because the cord cinch is below the remote/mic, there is still plenty of rustling in regular movement.   Speaking of, the remote & mic are also very nicely designed and built and perform well.  I've never had any problems using the mic during calls and the remote functions as it should to control a phone.   The jack is worthy of a separate note here.  The jack is very, very small, one of the smallest I've seen, and also very low-profile.  This allows the headphones to be used in a variety of smartphone or DAP cases without an adapter.  Further, the 90 degree bend makes the phone/DAP seem a little smaller in the pocket, and also limited exposure of the jack to snapping off.     I think, on the whole, these are a very well built and nicely designed set of earphones.   Sound Quality With the stock tips, there is an overwhelming amount of forward, but muddy, bass.  The low end completely drowns out the mids and highs, and utterly lacks detail.  It is nice and forward though, you definitely feel it's there.  But it distracts from every other area of the music, in my opinion, and I can't say much else beyond that.   With the Comply tips, and better isolation, the bass tightens up quite a bit, allowing the mids and highs to come forward a bit more.  This is still, by all means, a bass heavy headphone, but with the Comply tips the bass is no longer totally overwhelming, and the mids and highs are allowed to resolve a bit more forward.  Even more benefit can be had by EQing the bass  slightly  down, but then again, I am not a basshead.  Even without EQing, one should be able to get much more detail from the mids and highs using the Comply tips that was simply lacking with the stock tips.   I found the soundstage to be slightly improved with the Comply tips as well, though still pretty small and definitely within the head.     Value In the end I have kept these for awhile and will keep them going forward, but I'm glad I did not pay $149 for them.  They make a fine earphone to walk around, do chores, work outside, and exercise with.  But I have purchased some other earphones and will continue to look for improved sound and comfort.  If you can find them for under $100 (I'd say $75 would be a nice price point for these) and you prefer a bass centric sound, they might do you well.  But at $149, there are other earphones that will outperform these at that price point and sound signature (Vsonic GR07BE is one that is oft-recommended, though I have not heard them).   Because I'm new here and this is my first review, I couldn't post pictures, but pics can be found here:  https://flic.kr/p/r3eLUq https://flic.kr/p/rGDrdE https://flic.kr/p/rEUT6x

These were my first foray into the world of headphones, and my first (and last) experience with Beats. Out of the box, the one earpiece did not function at all. I had to hold the cable at the y-split a certain way for it to work. The sound was bass-heavy but OK for my -then- average consumer knowledge of headphones. I bought them for 175 Euro from Saturn Germany, and couldn't get warranty service because I had lost the receipt (even though I didn't imagine that they would be broken). I read around on the internet, and many people had such broken earpieces out of the box. It's a real shame, because these do indeed feel sturdy and beautifully built - the plastic feels high-quality and so do the cables and accessories.

Build Quality In this category I was very surprised, I've roughed these earphones up quite a bit; and I've even nearly stepped on them, but they still work. The cable is decently sized I wish that the cable was thicker like the previous version. But overall on build quality these are built pretty damn well.   In The Box This product comes many accesories. They come with many ear tips so you could get the perfect fit for however size your ears are. They also come with "wings", their main purpose is basically have a better fit in your ear without having the earphones falling out. They fit quite snug when you're listening to music. I've always loved the way Beats audio packages their products, they always make you feel like you've bought a million dollar product. So for this section I would have to give a 10/10 for accesories.   Comfort Alright   Isolation Great, can't hear anything when i'm listening to music with these on.   Sound Now this is where things slide a bit, I'm pretty sure that you all know the reputation that beats offer in their sound section in their products. The bass on these earphones are very impactfull, and agressive. Is it necessarily bad? No, if you listen to hip-hop or electronic music these will suit you quite well. Now the treble on this headphone is quite metallic sounding, and quite high pitched on high volumes. It gets to the point where your ear starts to hurt. So treble isn't the best. The mid frequencies on this headphone is "meh" alright, they're not very detailed, and dont really sparkle. Now is the sound on this earphone, no not necessarily. It really fits the person who listens to hip-hop or electronic music. But if you like instrumental music, then these aren't the earphones for you, like i said they aren't very detailed. So the sound on this product is decent.   Value For what your getting with this product, this doesn't really meet up to my expectations FOR VALUE. The earphones are decent but they're not worth the price.   Overall Now do I reccomend this product? Well it really depends on what genre you listen to. But for me I wouldn't reccomend this since I feel like you could get better for the price you're paying for this product alone. There are definately better alternatives then beats out there on the market.

muffled pair of earphones, iem’s. you are only throwing your money way with these as you can get really excellent heaphones, earphones for same money. and not as if you can show off with theses, they are small, they are not headphones. no one notices you have beats earphones cause these are small, they are not headphones. only with headphones you can show off but not with earphones. easier to get good sounding earphones. the only good thing about these is descent bass but it is exaggerated. the mids and highs are muffled, not even a good dac saves them. they are point blank period muffled pair of earphones.   to sum up the only reason i don't sell them is because they have a good microphone for phone. here are two video reviews of the earphones. fist video is after using them for a while, the other two videos are the first videos when i got them.   Beats tour 2 review part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKMsDy6OABc   beats tour v2 earphones review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TY3nyGXXmcU   beats tour v2 part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo-5rFu8lIM

Taylor Swift Beats Boyfriend Travis Kelce for a 2024 Webby Award

Taylor Swift took home a trophy at the 2024 Webby Awards - and beat boyfriend Travis Kelce in the process.

On Tuesday, April 23, the Webby winners were announced with Swift, 34, taking home a win in the Best Creator or Influencer Collaboration, Features (Social) category after she teamed up with Vote.org for National Voter Registration Day . Swift collaborated with the website in September 2023 to register fans to vote ahead of Election Day that year.

The singer beat out Kelce, who was nominated for his collaboration with The Cheesecake Factory. (The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also 34, wore an outfit that looked similar to the restaurant's takeout bags when arriving to an NFL game in January.) The other nominees included Amaury Guichon's Whimsical Wonka Suitcase, M·A·C COSMETICS x TUBEGIRL and The Ad You Stay In.

While Travis didn't nab that award, he and brother Jason Kelce took home a separate Webby for Best Co-Hosts, Features (Podcasts). The sibling duo famously host the "New Heights" podcast . (They beat out "Bitch Sesh," "Jill Scott Presents: J.ill the Podcast," "Questlove Supreme" and "We Can Do Hard Things.")

These Taylor Swift Lyrics Suggest She Manifested Travis Kelce Relationship

While the Webby winners have already been announced, there will be an in-person ceremony hosted by Amber Ruffin on Monday, May 13, taking place in New York City.

Since both Swift and Travis have picked up a win, fans are wondering whether the couple will make an appearance at the forthcoming show. While it seems unlikely, as the duo have yet to walk a red carpet together, Swift will also be on the European leg of her Eras Tour . She's set to perform in Paris from Thursday, May 9 to Sunday, May 12. It's currently unclear whether Travis will be by her side as she hits the road once again.

Swift and Travis took their relationship public in September 2023, months after the NFL star discussed her tour on the "New Heights" podcast that July.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Relationship Timeline

"This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell," Swift shared during her TIME magazine cover story , published in December 2023. The singer also noted that she and Travis "started hanging out right after that."

She went on to say that the duo "had a significant amount of time" together that no one knew about.

"We got to get to know each other," she added. "By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."

The beatles’ no. ‘1’ compilation is staging a comeback.

The Beatles posing together. From left to right: musicians George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul ... [+] McCartney and Ringo Starr, circa 1965.

The Beatles never have a hard time moving copies of their music. They still rank as one of the most successful and bestselling artists in U.S. history, even though they haven’t released a new album in decades. This frame, one of the group’s most successful compilations is back on a pair of Billboard charts, proving that the American masses are still in love with their work today, just as they were half a century ago.

1 by The Beatles returns to two Billboard rankings this frame. That title wasn’t present on any lists last week, so its comeback is a bit unexpected, but perfectly welcome.

On the Billboard 200, 1 reappears at No. 172. The compilation blasts back onto the list of the most-consumed albums of all styles, ages, and genres thanks to 8,644 equivalent units shifted. That sum includes 413 actual sales, according to Luminate.

The same title also manages to crack the Top Rock & Alternative Albums roster as well. That list ranks the most-consumed albums and EPs in the U.S. that Billboard classifies as rock or alternative, which of course The Beatles’ music fits.

1 lands at No. 41 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart this week, easily breaking back onto the 50-spot list. It has previously risen as high as No. 3 on that ranking, and it’s now managed 311 weeks somewhere on the tally.

Last week, The Beatles appeared on both of these charts, but not with 1 . Last frame, their compilation 1967-1970 –sometimes referred to as the Blue album–sat on these rankings, but it’s been replaced by 1 . This can happen sometimes when fans’ buying and streaming habits transfer from one group of songs to another. If the hits on 1 outpace those on 1967-1970 , which seems to have been the case here, the more popular of the two collections will appear on the charts the following frame.

The Beatles released 1 in November 2000, and the compilation was a massive success. The CD has sold tens of millions of copies, and it brought the band back to the top spot on the Billboard 200 after a lengthy absence from the highest rung on that tally.

How do I improve the comfort, stability, and sound quality of your Beats Studio Buds?

If your earphones don't already have eartips attached, choose a set of eartips and attach them. Then gently insert the eartip into your ear. You can adjust the eartip until it feels secure. To remove the eartip from your ear, twist the earphone gently and pull it away from your ear.

How do I activate Siri or other voice assistants?

On Apple devices, you can activate Siri hands-free just by saying “Hey Siri”. Or, change the function of the multi-function button to activate your voice assistant within your iOS settings. On Android, download the Beats app to change the function of the multi-function button to activate the default voice assistant on your device.

How do I configure the multi-function button?

How do I pair with my Android device?

For example, on your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth. In the list of discovered Bluetooth devices, tap or click your Beats Studio Buds.

How do I pair with additional Bluetooth devices?

To pair to additional devices, place the earbuds in the case with the lid open. Then hold down the small circular button until the LED begins to flash. Beats Studio Buds are now in pairing mode and can be paired to any standard Bluetooth device.

LUKE LITTLER claimed his second European tour title of the year after winning the Austrian Open on Sunday night.

Darts star in line for Ally Pally return after four years

Japan darts star Seigo Asada is closing in on a return to the PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace later this year.

Asada, 50, has previously qualified for the finals on three occasions - 2018, 2019 and 2020 - and could make it a fourth later this year after back-to-back titles in the inaugural Japan Tour.

The new tour features ten events and a play-off with the top 32 players at the end of the season.

Asada, a former World Cup of Darts semi-finalist, dominated on the opening weekend as he claimed top spot in the Japan Order of Merit.

Event three and four saw Mitsuhiko Tatsunami and Jun Matsuda  claim wins respectively.

There will be two more weekends of action in mid-July and early-September.

MVG 'disappointed' after Ross defeat

Michael van Gerwen has blasted his form during the Austrian Open.

The Dutchman fell to a crushing 6-1 quarter-final defeat to Ross Smith.

Taking to social media, Van Gerwen said: "Another tough loss in the quarter final in Graz today. Ross Smith played well, and I just couldn't find my rhythm.

"Disappointed with the result, but onto the next one!"

Updated Order of Merit

Luke Littler has moved into the top 25 for the PDC Order of Merit following his victory at the Austrian Open.

There were no changes to any of the top 13, with the likes of Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen cemented in spot one and two.

However, there was also progress up the charts for the likes of Ross Smith, Joe Cullen and Martin Schindler.

The Order is determined by the prize money won by darts stars over a rolling 104-week period.

The top 32 players automatically qualify for the World Darts Championship.

Luke Littler's stock continues to rise every time he steps up to the oche.

But what do you think of him?

How does Order of Merit work?

The Order of Merit is determined by the prize money won by darts stars over a rolling 104-week period.

Work of dart

Fans are still in awe of an incredible moment from Rob Collins during the Modus Super Series.

Collins beat Adam Lipscombe 4-3 on Friday but there was one feat in the fourth leg that had everyone stunned.

Collins began his visit with a standard treble 20, but it was from there where things took a turn.

He threw his second dart and it pierced the back of his first, getting stuck in its flight.

This is known in the sport as a "Robin Hood".

But what made the moment even more remarkable was that Collins' final dart then did the exact same thing as all three were caught in one another.

Following his latest European win on Sunday, Luke Littler said: “Darts fans never disappoint. The energy tonight was mental!

“It made winning my second European Tour title that much sweeter. Cheers, legends!

“I’m just happy to get over the line again. I’ve come here and won another one.

“In the final we started off really well. But I think I stuck at it and Joe started to fall off. I seen it and put my scoring back on top of his.”

Littler on 'mind games' at Austrian Open

Luke Littler said that Krzysztof Ratajski was trying “mind games” after another darting Watergate scandal.

The teen sensation came from 3-1 down to reel off five legs in succession and win his Austrian Darts Open third round tie 6-3.

But in a strange incident Littler, 17, moved his water to the FLOOR during the clash in Graz.

That was because in their previous meeting in Belgium last month, the Pole drank from his water during the match.

Bizarrely, Ratajski appeared to move his water back on to the table during the match.

When asked about his water being moved, Littler said: “Then it appeared on the table again. I didn’t move it. I think he’s trying to play mind games. I just play my darts.”

MVG's nickname for Littler

Michael van Gerwen has opened about his relationship with Luke Littler.

And the Dutch darts master has revealed he calls the oche wonderkid "Little Kebab Boy."

"We are always egging each other on and that’s what I always call him," MVG continued.

"(My nickname?) I don’t know but he doesn’t say it yet I think. I’m twice that boy’s age, right?

"We just have a good relationship, but real conversations we haven’t had.“I sometimes ask him something, it’s always darts-related.

"So should I start talking politics with a 17-year-old guy?

"If you ask him about Man United, he knows everything. That’s a generation gap."

And the Dutch darts master has revealed he calls the oche wonderkid "Kebab Boy."

Luke Littler has revealed he is being driven on by the promise of a special Manchester United-related bonus.

He said: "My manager said if I do well this and do well in a few weeks then I can have another Euro Tour off and go and see United.

"I’m doing well to go and watch United in the (FA Cup) final."

Littler hailed as a generational talent

The teenage sensation's Austrian Open final opponent, Joe Cullen, was full of praise for Littler following his defeat on Sunday night.

Speaking post-match, he said: "To be honest I was rubbish. He just played better than me.

"I'm disappointed with the way I played but congratulations to Luke.

"He's a generational talent, he's great for the game."

Littler's girlfriend's sweet note

Luke Littler's girlfriend Eloise celebrated his win at the Austrian Open on Instagram.

He even replied, "I love you" to her well wishes on social media.

Jacket 'ages him'

Luke Littler was the toast of Graz following his latest success.

The teen darts sensation was crowned Austrian Darts Open champion after defeating Joe Cullen 8-4.

It was a vintage display from the 17-year-old, who was unseeded going into the event.

Afterwards, he was presented with a trophy which he held aloft.

But, rather bizarrely, it was a green jacket that was draped on him that was the strangest prize.

The colourless jacket was similar to one worn by The Beatles in their heyday.

However, fans online thought it had made Littler appear older than his years - saying it "aged him 20 years".

Littler is on a promise

Luke Littler has revealed he is on a promise from his manager if he continues his success he will be able to watch his beloved Man Utd in the FA Cup final.
