I do not usually use a travel agent, but I was forced to use this agent as my university either required me to pay up front for some european travel or use their agent. This is a terrible travel agency. When I was told to use them, it was with the admonition to "call on the phone, they are not too good with email", no kidding. Very poor communication, emails not answered for 5-6 days, lots of confusion and difficulty with the internet. In the end, I am sure it cost the university more to use this agency than not and it took three personal visits to their offices to get my flights booked. Even at that I did the bulk of the research on the flights I needed.

I was forced to use Altair by Credit Union Conferences, an agency that conducts training aboard cruise ships. I have booked 4 cruises through them. Jill Donati has been my agent. Jill is very nice and pleasant over the phone, and has provided excellent service on our recent cruise.

We used Altair travel for our honeymoon and took our wedding party with us. A total of 12 people ... I do not think everyone booked with them but for sure 8 of us did. We were told that we would get the Honeymoon/Anniversary package as we stated multiple times we wanted to book another trip in a year. What should have been a savings of 20% - a value of almost $700.00 - that's a significant amount of money. What we got was a honeymoon/anniversary package at the resort that said "fresh fruit and wine daily". What that consisted of was 3 blueberries and 2 strawberries which were not put there daily. We stayed at Playa Mujeres - the same room service plates were there the whole week, Our coffee pot didn't work, there was drink glasses left at the swim up pool the entire week. The maid service was sup-par at best. We passed on our way to our room a half eaten burger that sat in the same spot for 3 days. I emailed the marketing director - got no response. Emailed the gentlemen that handled our initial booking ... he said that we were booked for a different package. So basically we lost out on roughly $700.00. I would not recommend them and the other folks in our party said that they would NOT deal with Altair again.

I have used Altair Travel and Travel Agent Lori Coleman for several trips and have been thrilled with the quality service, travel experience and value. If you have an opportunity to travel contact Altair (ask for Lori) and have a trip to remember.

I have used this travel agency numerous times, most recently for the annual St. Louis Cardinal Cruise on the the Holland America cruise line. They are very easy to book with, specifically Jill and Sherry. They handle every last part of booking a vacation, and hand over a folder with all the details. Makes it easy to keep track of everything. The cruise itself is a blast, including multiple cocktail parties, autograph parties, etc. All included in the price of the cruise! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a travel agent!

It is usually not a good sign when your travel agent doesn't know the place you want to go...which was named ONE OF THE BEST BEACHES IN THE WORLD of 2013! It is further freighting when they don't know how to use google. Seriously, it has been almost 3 weeks since we had our first meeting, they were supposed to put some things together and get back to us, needles to say, crickets. Steer clear and find a different agency. I am not leaving the details of my European honeymoon up to a person that can't google. PS the place looks like it is stuck in the '70s. Surprised they didn't try to talk us into a Carnival cruise.

I have been working with Becky for my destination wedding in June 2014 and she has blown me out of the water with her communication, knowledge,skill and friendliness. She has fast return with emails and if she had something come up, she would call and let me know. She has gone way past my expectations. It has taken me 2 prior agents till I found what I was looking for. I am very pleased with her and her work. I'd highly recommend her to friends and family.
