With wineries updating their tasting areas to create more spacious, intimate settings, capacity is limited and tastings are conducted by appointment only. Some wineries have permit restrictions that limit the number of guests that can visit each day, so it’s best to plan tasting appointments a few weeks ahead of time.

Can I wear jeans to a winery?

Yes! Jeans are acceptable year-round – we call it wine country casual (for women — sundresses, blouses and skirts, nice jeans, wedges, sandals, etc.; for men – golf shirts, khaki pants, nice jeans, dressier shorts, stylish sneakers, boat shoes, etc.).

A more upscale winery might call for darker denim, and be sure to dress in layers as many winery experiences take place outdoors and tours often take guests through wine caves and chilled cellar areas.

How do I taste wine?

First of all: Wine should be enjoyed , so don't overthink it – have fun and drink what you like.

If you want to taste like a professional:

Your host will then lead you through a sampling of five of our current release reserve and small-production wines.

An experience for the Cabernet Sauvignon enthusiast featuring a private tour, tasting, and food delights.

Join one of Castello’s most experienced wine educators on a journey to explore the king of grapes–Cabernet Sauvignon. Indulge in Cabernet from the celebrated Melanson Vineyard. Grown at elevations up to 1200 ft, this vineyard thrives on the sun-kissed western exposure of Pritchard Hill, one of Napa Valley’s premier hilltop locations. Savor Castello’s award-winning Cabernet from the Morisoli-Borges vineyard, flourishing in the rich soils of the Rutherford AVA.

As your host guides you through the castle, you will  taste Cabernet from Coombsville AVA, one of Napa’s newest rising stars; sourced from Rapp Ranch, this fruit benefits from Pacific cooled nights and luxurious warm days.

Compare the skillfully crafted La Castellana Super Tuscan blend, one of our most complex and ageable wines. Experience a newly barreled vintage alongside an elegant current release and discover why ‘the beauty is in the blend’.

This Cabernet intensive begins with a sparkling wine welcome and includes an assortment of delicious bites specifically curated by our in-house chef to enhance this luxe tasting.

Royal Wine & Food Pairing (Currently Unavailable)

(Not Currently Available) Castello di Amorosa’s critically acclaimed “Royal Pairing” is recognized by Fodor’s Travel as  “among Wine Country’s best.”  This luxury tasting experience is hosted by Mary Davidek, Castello’s Wine Specialist (C.S.W.) and Certified Sommelier (C.S.).

Immerse yourself in the grand architecture of the Castello, explore the state-of-the-art production facilities, and discover the significance of Napa Valley’s unique soil and climate. Following your tour, you will be escorted to the elegantly appointed Royal Apartment tasting salon. Rather than chef inspired, the Royal Pairing is “Somm” inspired. Mary has personally created an inventive and thoughtful pairing menu featuring a selection of Castello di Amorosa’s award-winning wines, including reserve and limited release offerings.

The Royal Pairing requires a 2.5 hour commitment on your itinerary

Our Hospitality staff will customize and present your tour and tasting to be uniquely your own. They are artful masters in setting the stage, providing creative ideas, and arranging every last detail. Our professional staff understands how important the right setting is for a memorable time in wine country.

COMPLIMENTARY TOURS & WINE TASTING

Guided Tours and Tasting are offered 7 days a week starting at 10:00 am each day, with the last tour offered at 4:00 pm. Tours usually run every 30-40 minutes and begin with a 10 minute video presentation, which guides you through the entire wine making process and the history of Florida wine. Your personal Tour Guide will then show you the winemaking area and the spectacular view of the vineyards where the grapes are grown and harvested. The guided Wine tasting offers a selection of award winning wines ranging from dry to sweet, and also sparkling. The winery tour and wine tasting lasts approximately 45 minutes and is educational for the whole family! Last chance for touring and tasting offered until 4:00 p.m.

Our Wine Shop offers a variety of unique wine accessories and gift items that include glassware, cooking items and gourmet foods, along with our famous Florida wine. Private labels and gift baskets are also available! They are perfect gifts for family and friends.

ID Requirements for Tastings

US citizens: State-issued drivers license, military ID, or state ID card. International guests: Original passport preferred, or valid government-issued photo ID with birthdate. Original passport will be required if government ID cannot be validated.

Afterwards, browse the large retail area with gift shop featuring all the Lakeridge Wines, gourmet foods such as fine olive oils, a variety of salad dressings, assorted cheeses, crackers, gourmet mustards, salsas and hot sauces. Quintessential Experience

OUR QUINTESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE fuses world class wine and the stunning beauty that surrounds us. As your hosts guides you to a private, open-air pavilion surrounded by rolling vineyards, you will explore the nuances of our unique terroir and discover how our rich and diverse soils shape the character of our estate. Your pavilion will offer a breathtaking view of the estate – one of the quintessential vistas in the Napa Valley – while your host presents a flight of current and library vintages of Quintessa and two barrel samples that comprise the final blend.

Approximately 90 minutes | Up to 8 guests $225 PER GUEST*

Collector’s Experience

OUR COLLECTOR’S EXPERIENCE begins with a tour of our custom-designed gravity flow winery. Your host will guide you through our fermentation, winemaking, and aging processes, followed by a walk through our 17,000 square feet of caves. You will enjoy current and library vintages of Quintessa along with a barrel sample destined for the final blend of Quintessa.

Estate Experience

THIS ESTATE EXPERIENCE   begins with a privately hosted walk through the natural surroundings of Quintessa. You will enjoy sweeping views of the Rutherford appellation as your host expands on our holistic philosophy around organic and Biodynamic® farming practices. Following your walk, you will explore a lineup of current and library vintages of Quintessa in our tasting salon. Your host will share our approach to winemaking and the vision of our estate.  

Approximately 90 minutes | Up to 6 guests $175 PER GUEST*

Communal Estate Experience

OUR COMMUNAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE brings to life the convivial spirit of wine. Alongside one additional party, your host will guide you on a walking tour of the Quintessa estate. You will enjoy the natural surroundings while learning more about our organic and Biodynamic farming practices. A seated tasting of current and library vintages of Quintessa will follow.
