I have been kayaking exactly one time before. It was a terrible, horrible, miserable, awful, horrendous experience where I spent an absurd amount of time in the water because 1) I was on a fast moving river that was running high; 2) I didn't know what I was doing; and 3) neither did my guide. So when my wife suggested that we should try kayaking here, I was...hesitant.... Carrie is AMAZING! She has great equipment, a magnificent knowledge of the areas where she is leading tours, she is passionate about the critters and things seen, and she is VERY safety conscious. We did the 4 hour tour to Bird Island, and even though things looked good when we left, when we got to our first stop conditions rapidly changed for the worse. She was in contact with people all over the area and checking her weather radar constantly, and she made absolutely sure conditions had settled down considerably before taking us back out again. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone--neophyte or old pro.

Simply THE BEST kayak & fishing tour Co in coastal Carolina, North or South. Cari is the BOMB. Rip will put you on the fish. Sam holds down the fort like a Goddess. The Greg's, well they are an acquired taste but know customer service like no other guides in the estuary. Go to Bird Island, pick up some crabs and enjoy a wonderful day on the water. Oh yeah, don't forget to ask whatever happened to that cool marine biologist they used to have on staff.

Thank you Carrie and Greg for a kick ass trip today. My family loved the inlets and I loved I got to put in some paddling time on the East Coast. It was a perfect day filled with laughter, wildlife and new friends. We will definitely return!!!

I went on two kayak tours with my grandchildren.Both tours were a lot of fun. The tour guides were fantastic. The first tour was to Crab Island and Bird Island. The guides were very knowledgeable, and could answer all our questions about the wild life on the islands. The second tour was to the back side of Sunset Beach to view the sunset. Because of the cloudy weather, the sunset was not to be, but kayaking through the estuaries was an eye opener. So much wild life thriving in the ICW. My grandchildren and I really enjoyed both trips. A great way to have a fun time with family.

My husband was supposed to arrange our reservation a week before we called on Friday - luckily they still had spots available for Saturday evening! Cari (Cary? Kari?) and Dane were great guides - sure I was near the end, but they were really flexible on how behind I was. My husband is a strong kayaker, so he was closer to the front. However, we got to go along a intercoastal stream, a creek, and swim by a sandbar!

Kerry and Greg took us on the Bird Island tour. My husband, two boys and I were partnered with another group of 12. What a wonderful morning on the water! Kerry was an excellent guide, and I especially loved our stop at "Crab Island" to catch crabs and learn more about them! My youngest (10) was reluctant to go on this tour and ended up having a blast!

Such a great time during the sunset kayaking trip. Rip and Greg were great hosts and kept the kids entertained with fun facts and cool clam digging tricks. They had such a great time and the view during sunset is absolutely breathtaking on the way back. Perfect way to end the night.

We drove down to Sunset beach for the day from Wake Forest and went on the Bird Island tour with Cari. We absolutely had a blast! Cari made a point to take us to some really cool places and pointed out a lot of local wildlife. She uses kayaks that are made in NC and they are top notch. So much fun! If you like to outdoors take the opportunity to go on one of their great tours. We will definitely go back!

Bird Island Tour

Fitness Level: Moderate to Low

Duration: 3 1/2 to 4 Hours

Description: Bird Island is the last beach in North Carolina and the first beach in South Carolina and an uninhabited nature preserve that was purchased by the state of North Carolina in 2000 to protect the turtle and bird nesting areas. You will paddle from across Intracoastal Waterway from the mainland to the backside of Bird Island and Bonaparte creeks, exploring the beautiful marsh grass and oyster bed structures. Kayakers will paddle into South Carolina and beach their kayak on the beach in Little River inlet, exploring the jetty structure, pristine dune areas and take a refreshing swim. The jetties hold many shelling treasures that include sand dollars, whelks, and conchs. Paddling back from Bird Island you will be going through the meandering channels of Bonaparte Creek and tide permitting Dead Water Creek. During this tour you may see egrets, sea turtles, sea otters, dolphins, porpoise, blue herons, pelicans, ospreys, and perhaps a resident bald eagle.

Tubbs Inlet Tour

Duration: 2 1/2 to 3 Hours

Schedule: March 1st – November. Year round tours are conducted based on weather and temperature. Call for available winter tour times and dates.

Description: Tubbs Inlet is the inlet located between Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach. The inlet is always changing and because of this the shelling along the beaches in this area can be superb. You will paddle through a pristine marsh estuary making your way to Tubbs Inlet through creeks that do not experience any boat traffic. You will beach your kayak on your own private beach in the inlet and take a refreshing dip while you soak up the local beauty. The creeks and shallows behind Ocean Isle Beach are host to some of the best inshore fishing in the area. The most targeted species are Red Drum, Speckled Trout, and Flounder.

Tour Price: $70 per individual

Blane Creek Tour

Schedule: This tour relies on the tide level and is limited to mid to high tide. Call for available times and dates.

Description: Launching near the site of the old Sunset Beach swing bridge, now the location of the community boat ramp and fishing pier, we will and paddle under the new Sunset Beach bridge and travel along the causeway. We will paddle behind the homes on North Shore Drive on Sunset Beach, exploring the fabulous tidal creeks teeming with wildlife. We will make our way behind Bird Island and then meander our way back to the waterway through a maze of switch back tidal channels. Passing by beautiful waterway homes on one side and perhaps spot a wild goat on Goat Island, sea turtles or dolphin. This is moderate paddle lasting approximately 2 ½ to 3 hours.

3-Day Moscow Tour Highlights:

• Panoramic Tour of Moscow: See Moscow beyond the postcard images on a private excursion by car through the city streets including a drive along the banks of the Moskva River. Visit the famous Bolshoi Theatre, pass by Gorky Park and the Novodevichy Convent, and admire the city from on high at the Sparrow Hill observation platform.
• Moscow Historical City Centre Guided Walking Tour : Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of one of the world’s biggest metropolises and discover local haunts on foot, including the Red Square, the Kremlin and the multi-coloured domes of St Basil’s Cathedral.

On your first day, you’ll be treated to a panoramic, drive-by tour of Moscow to get a feel for the immense scale of one of the world’s most rapidly developing urban centres. The city’s history unfolds in real-time as you pass lavish imperial mansions, solemn Soviet structures and luxurious modern shopping centres.

Day two kicks off exploring Moscow’s historic centre on foot, followed by a tour of the Kremlin, the seat of Russian power and political intrigue for centuries. Stand in the Red Square, surrounded by the stunning architecture as you hear stories of the people and events behind many of Moscow’s most iconic landmarks.

On your final day, we’ll head beneath the city for a tour of the Moscow Metro and its famously ornate underground stations. After check-in and rest, meet your private guide at the hotel lobby for a comprehensive tour of Moscow by car. Visit the starkly contrasting Theatre Square to see the stunning Bolshoi Theatre, pass Tverskaya Street, the city’s main boulevard and home to the landmark Yeleseyevskiy Grocery Store.

You’ll enjoy a panoramic drive along the Moskva River, where a huge, controversial state of Peter the Great was erected. Pass by the legendary Gorky Park and the White House before a stop at the architecturally stunning Novodevichy Convent, and the observation platform at Sparrow Hills, for a bird’s eye view over this staggering megalopolis.

Day 2 Red Square and Kremlin

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you on a walking tour of the historical city centre. Stroll through the Red Square, the hub of cultural life in Moscow, with its elaborate ‘stone flower’ fountain and fantasy-like St Basil’s Cathedral – a postcard-perfect symbol of the nation. Admire the grandiose façade of GUM, the city’s most luxurious shopping centre, and visit Alexander’s Garden, with its eternal flame and the chance to watch a changing of the guards.

Break for lunch before continuing on a tour of the Kremlin and Armoury Chamber, famous of its collection of tsarist fashion, with regalia such as jewel-encrusted crowns, orbs and sceptres as well as arms and armour, exotic gifts from the leaders of faraway lands, and an illustrious case of Imperial Faberge eggs.

As an option* spend an evening on a sumptuous dinner cruise, taking in the stunning sights and city lights of this mesmerising metropolis by night.

Day 3 Metro and Arbat Street

Start a day with a tour of Metro, stopping on the way to marvel at some of the most elaborately decorated stations of the world-famous Moscow subway system. Take a stroll along Old Arbat street - the most famous street in Moscow. Through the centuries Arbat used to be one of the most bohemian places in Moscow. Today Arbat is a promenade full of small cozy cafes and street life.

The afternoon is free for you to either enjoy the rest of the day on your own or choose among optional excursions to explore more of Moscow. Visit the Tretyakov Gallery or Pushkin State Museum to admire Russian art. Join locals for a stroll at the Gorky or VDNH park.

Visit beautiful Kolomeskoye Estate or Izmailovo Kremlin, or spend a day exploring the beautiful city of the Golden Ring (Russian province) - Sergiev Posad. In the evening you will be transferred to the airport for your departure to your next destination.
