OneRepublic announce Asia 2023 tour dates with stops Malaysia, Singapore and more

The tour will include dates in Bangkok, Taipei and Tokyo

OneRepublic will be bringing their ‘Live In Concert’ tour to Asia in 2023, with stops in Malaysia and Singapore already announced.

The pop-rock band are set to perform in seven different cities on their Asia tour including stops in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Taipei and Tokyo from February to March 2023, with the tour kicking off at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, the Philippines on February 23.

Presales for the Malaysia tour date on March 1begin via LiveNation on September 29 at 10am local time, with free standing tickets set to be priced at MYR388. A fan club presale will be held on September 27, followed by a LiveNation member presale on September 28. Ticketing details for the other Asia tour dates have yet to be released.

OneRepublic’s ongoing ‘Live In Concert’ kicked off with a 40-city US run on July 8. The band are set to resume the tour in October for a Europe trek including dates in Italy, Germany and Switzerland before heading to Australia and New Zealand next March.

OneRepublic’s most recent single ‘I Ain’t Worried’ arrived in May, appearing on the soundtrack for  Top Gun: Maverick . It marked the second original song from OneRepublic this year, following on from the release of ‘West Coast’ in February.

The band’s frontman Ryan Tedder had previously teased a collaboration with BLACKPINK , revealing that he had worked on the K-pop girl group’s recently released album ‘Born Pink’.

“I think one or two of my songs have made the album,” he said in an interview with  Good Morning America.  “From what I’ve been told, and the stuff that I did with them, I can just say is very true to their sound.” However, none of the songs he had reportedly worked on with the group made the cut on the final album.

US band OneRepublic’s new album Artificial Paradise has a track titled Singapore

SINGAPORE – Singapore clearly left a lasting impression on American pop rock band OneRepublic, whose new album Artificial Paradise contains an instrumental track titled Singapore.

The three-minute orchestral number is layered and atmospheric, building up slowly before fading off with a melancholic, piano-led outro. According to the album credits, it was written and produced by the group’s keyboardist Brian Willett and Montreal-based producer-songwriter John Nathaniel.

On Reddit, the song has received praise from the band’s fans, who describe it as “pure magic” and “beautiful”. One user wrote: “This one is so transcendent, I got so many goosebumps.”

OneRepublic also comprise frontman Ryan Tedder, guitarists Zach Filkins and Drew Brown, drummer Eddie Fisher and bassist Brent Kutzle.

Best known for hits such as Apologize (2007), Stop And Stare (2008), Counting Stars (2013) and I Ain’t Worried (2022), the band have not made any statements about the song and if it is connected to the album title.

OneRepublic are no strangers to Singapore. They filmed several scenes of the music video for their 2023 single Runaway at Marina Bay Sands, and the song is also included in the 18-track Artificial Paradise, their sixth album released on July 12.

They have performed six times in Singapore and first played here at music festival SingFest in 2008.

In February 2023, they staged a concert at The Star Theatre and, in November that year, returned as one of the performing headliners at the Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony.

This is not the first time Singapore has been name-checked in song titles by international music acts.

In 1939, American jazz icon Frank Sinatra released On A Little Street In Singapore, written by American songwriters Peter DeRose and Billy Hill. It has been covered by other artistes, including American rock poet laureate Bob Dylan in 2016.

American singer-songwriter Tom Waits has a song called Singapore in his 1985 album Rain Dogs, as do British band Big Audio Dynamite in their 1995 album F-Punk.

More recently, American rapper Ken Carson included a song titled Singapore in his third and latest album, A Great Chaos, released in 2023.

Lil Baby cancels a slew of concerts, including Phoenix. How to get a refund

Phoenix is one of several concert dates Lil Baby has canceled on his latest U.S. tour.

The Atlanta rapper was scheduled to play Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix on Tuesday, Aug. 1, as part of his It's Only Us Tour with The Kid LAROI, GloRilla, Gloss Up, Rylo Rodriguez and Hunxho.

Concerts were also canceled in Sacramento, California; Salt Lake City, Denver, Indianapolis, Louisville, Kentucky; and Pittsburgh.

A note at Ticketmaster says: "Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event."

No reason was given for the cancellations.

The tour is named for Lil Baby’s third chart-topping album, the platinum release “It’s Only Me,” which had the third-highest figure for one-week streams for an album in 2022.

No action is required to obtain a refund.

According to Ticketmaster, refunds will be processed to the original method of payment "once funds are received from the Event Organizer, which is usually completed within 30 days."

The note went on to read: "If the Event Organizer is offering a credit option, it will be visible within the Event Details of your order, which can be found in your Ticketmaster account."

It also notes that if tickets were transferred to you, the refund will go to the original purchaser.

Pour le tournoi européen, un trio de producteurs italiens a créé un hymne complet, avec une série de compositions inspirées de la chanson " Fire ". L'objectif est d'harmoniser les séquences télévisées, l'entrée des équipes et quelques moments qui manquent de son avec celle-ci.

Bien entendu, c'est cette musique en particulier qui sera interprétée en direct par les trois artistes Meduza, One Republic et Leony lors de la cérémonie de clôture de l' Euro 2024 . Dès 20h45, le son électronique résonnera dans le stade Olympique de Berlin, avant la finale entre l'Espagne et l'Angleterre. Un petit avant goût de spectacle ce dimanche 14 juillet.

Avant cela, en 2016, on se souvient tous de l’année où les Bleus foulaient les pelouses des stades de Ligue 1 sous les airs de la chanson de David Guetta et Zara Larsson avec “This One’s For You".
