With the destruction of Hyperion's Helios Station, the Skywell-27 Mining Array reclaimed its title as the most powerful laser system in this galactic sector.

Entrance from Meridian Metroplex

Here you come by shuttle from Meridian Metroplex for Quest Space-Laser Tag

Rhys has asked us to disable the orbital laser so he can get Katagawa and the Maliwan army off his back, and so we can get the Vault Key from the laser.

Gravity on the Skywell-27 is much lower, so the length of the jumps you can do increases significantly.

Head towards the inside of the base, killing enemies.

Locked doors

The doors are locked, to get to the first Typhon Log you have to go around from the other side, with down corridor.

Wounded Atlas Spy

An Atlas spy needs help collecting dirt on Katagawa to help disrupt the alliance of COV and Maliwan.

Defeat security

You have to kill all around to try to open gate.

Use Viper Drive on terminal. Enter base.

Use truck to jump to upper level, take ECHO log.

Try to use Viper Drive on eleavator.

Kill all enemies.

Search body - for Opposition Research Quest.

Take Katagawa ECHO Log from next room

Ventilation ducts

You cant use elevator, use ventilation ducts.

Proceed trough maintenance corridor and exit outside.

Kill all enemies and take Antenna for Dead Claptrap Crew Challenge - video Walkthrough is in Crew Challenges Section.

Jump south for Typhon Log.

Disable thruster.

Enter and kill all.

Locate Spy for Opposition Research Quest

To open locker you have to kill Mini Boss Interrogator , he is outside of this room and take Key to Locker

Take Katagawa ECHO Log from Locker

Open chute and enter it.

Try to exit using viper drive. Inspect 3 destroyed spheres inside Fuel Processing. Use Viper Drive on sphere and follow Rhys-Ball.

Clear way killing enemies.

Take Typhon Log from Observation Deck - video Walkthrough is in Crew Challenges Section

Go down from Typhon Log below main floor level to cave, and kill Mini Boss Handsome Jackie for Target of Opportunity Crew Challenge.

Follow Rhys-Ball

You cant enter Laser Control Room now, so enter the second corridor.

Clear room.

Talk to NPC Undercover Atlas Agent and take last Katagawa ECHO Log for Opposition Research Quest

Take Skywell-27 Dead Drop cache it is in side corridor.

For Opposition Research Quest.

Use central computer, try to enter password. Kill Maliwan. Kill COV. Turn on loudspeaker. Kill all. Upload data to Atlas.

Destroy servers for Space-Laser Tag Quest

Turn off firewall

Take elevator to control room for Space-Laser Tag Quest.

Here you will fight your final fight in Skywell-27

First secure control room.

Second defend Rhys-Ball and fire laser.

Katagawa Ball

You now have to defeat Boss Katagawa Ball , the fight will not be easy. Katagawa Ball has three phases, try to hide behind the elements of the environment and attack him with indirect attacks.

After fight take Vault Key Fragment. and Red Chest .

Fast Travel Station

Return to Sanctuary to finish Space-Laser Tag Quest.

Return to: Sanctuary

On next visit in Skywell-27

You can enter here after fight with Katagawa Ball, take Red Chest

Borderlands 3 Map Legend

Crew challenges.

On most maps you will find hidden Crew Challenges. They appear on the map as you approach them. Crew Challenges can be treated as optional tasks. They are not mandatory, but they bring EXP and rewards, and are also included in Zone Progress.

Typhon Logs are a special type of Crew Challenges. The solution of three Typhon Logs on a given map gives you access to Typhon Dead Drop Crew Challenge with reward chest.

Red Chests are a special type of container with better weapons or equipment. They are treated as a reward. They are located in specific places, they are hidden or well protected by Bosses. They belong to the Zone Progress of a given zone map. There are from one to three Red Chests in each zone.

Use the fast travel network to revisit explored areas.

Borderlands 3 lets you teleport from anywhere to any previously discovered Fast Travel station or even your most recently used vehicle, all via the map in your ECHO device, this also include Fast Travel stations on other planet.

Quest Starter

This is where the mission / quest begins. The Quest Giver can be an NPC, an item, or the quest starts automatically at the entrance to the location.

Catch-A-Ride - Vehicle Station

Vehicles you encounter are yours for the taking. You can always digistruct a vehicle at any Catch-A-Ride station, but there's also the option of a quick hijacking if aggressive bandit drivers get too close.

Marcus' Munitions

Vending Machine with Weapons and Equipment. In addition to buying, you can also sell your equipment here.

Veteran Rewards

There is a special vending machine with premium equipment on the Sanctuary III space ship.

Vending Machine with Ammunition.

Dr. Zed's Meds

Vending Machine with Medicines.

Collectible audio logs with lore about past of Borderlands universe.

Eridian Writings

At the beginning of the game you can't do anything about Eridian Writings, they will be needed later when the story comes to the right moment.

Friendly NPC

Friendly NPCs provide interaction, conversation, or give missions. You also often come back to them for prizes.

Hostile NPC

Hostile Boss, Special Enemy, tougher opponents.

You can take this vehicle, drive it or take it to Catch-A-Ride station to own it. If you disassembly it at Catch-A-Rideyou will acquire new components for your vehicle.

Quick Change Station

Here are all of the Borderlands 3 challenge locations in Skywell-27 on Promethea. Check out the completed area map below, as well as individual images for each challenge location.

There are several challenges in most of Borderlands 3 ’s maps. These challenges reward great experience and sometimes even enhance your vehicles. Picking them up is always worthwhile, but some of them can be a real pain to find. And that’s why we found them for you.

Skywell-27 challenge map locations

Look for the icons on the map above to find the challenges in Skywell-27.

There are two levels to this map, which is hard to see in the image above. The second floor houses a Dead Claptrap, a Target of Opportunity, a Typhon Log, and the Typhon Dead Drop. Everything else is on the first floor.

Dead Claptrap 1

This Claptrap is easy to spot. It’s tied to a giant moon spire. Just climb up the rocks to the left of the spire, and you can jump straight to the Claptrap.

Dead Claptrap 2

This Claptrap is easy to get to if you know where to look. On the second level, the Claptrap is in a small attic. Just look for the red glow and the yellow wire.

Target of Opportunity

For this Target of Opportunity, you need to a few platforms on the surface of the moon. Take a good look at the area above, and it should be easy to find.

Typhon Log 1

This first Typhon Log is right after you land on Skywell. It’s in a small building with a grate behind it.

Typhon Log 2

For this Typhon Log, you need to get through most of the upper floor. Before you enter the final big area, take a look to your left and jump across a few jutting rocks to pick it up.

Typhon Log 3

On the second floor, you need to climb up some pipes to get in a hidden nook above you. Look for a small, elevated section on the map, and you should be able to find the pipe. Follow the path to the Typhon Log.

Typhon Dead Drop

The Typhon Dead Drop is easy to find. Just look for the skinny hallway above, and you’ll find it just standing at the end.

Borderlands 3 Skywell-27 Typhon Logs Locations

While they may not be packed with as much as a vault, you'll want to find all the Skywell-27 log locations and pick up this dead drop.

Even before the events of the first game in the series, vault hunters have been searching the galaxy for the mystical vault for years by the time you pick up the thread in  Borderlands 3 . The first person to ever take up the mantel of a vault hunter was a man named Typhon, and he documented his adventures in a series of  audio logs  left all over the regions you will explore. Aside from just being humorous accounts of his quest, they also allow you to access valuable loot in his dead drops. While they may not be packed with as much as a vault, you'll want to find all the  Skywell-27 log  locations and pick up this dead drop.

Skywell-27 Typhon Log 1 Location

Your first log can be picked up right after landing in Skywell-27. After activating the first fast travel point, you'll enter a building with a "1" marked on the side. Go inside, up the two sets of stairs, and into the big room full of lootables and desks. On the far North wall, to the left of two lockers, is the terminal with the first log.

Skywell-27 Typhon Log 2 Location

Progress normally through the level until you come to the area where you run along the long series of pipes and platform along the cliffside. Stick to the left and on the final ledge will be the next terminal.

Skywell-27 Typhon Log 3 Location

After taking a big leap down to the lowest area on the map and enter the mining area, continue East through the red hallway into a more blue area where you're meant to head right to progress. Instead, take a left and go around some crates to find a hidden ladder tucked on the left-side wall. Climb your way up and clamber up some boxes on top into a large vent. Carefully jump to the narrow ledge on the opposite side and collect the final log.

Skywell-27 Typhon Dead Drop Location

Once you have found all three Typhon logs, Tannis will inform you that she has uncovered the location of the dead drop. Bear in mind that even if you go to the location of the dead drop, you won't be able to access it until you have picked up all three logs first.

From the last log, drop back down and keep on heading down the critical path. As you come up to the arena where you will face off against a boss, take a hard right to go up a staircase that leads up and above the area. Run all the way down here towards the red light at the end, but be careful not to fall down the hole in the floor at the end. The dead drop is in the big container against the wall. Pop it open to score yourself a nice selection of high tier weapons.

Borderlands 3 Skywell-27 Typhon Other Challenges

While you're in the area, Skywell-27 has three other crew challenges you might want to knock out before you exit the area. These include:

• Finding two dead claptraps to salvage
• Find the Target of Opportunity

Complete them all to fully check this area off your list of things to do and get back on the trail of more loot.

Skywell-27 is an asteroid array located in Promethea 's orbit. The Vault Hunters have to travel to Skywell-27 for the Space-Laser Tag story mission. Here, they fight their way through to the laser, shutting it down and retrieving a Vault Key piece.

Borderlands 3: Skywell-27 Crew Challenges Guide

Once you’ve made your way through Atlas HQ, you will enter the low gravity area of Skywell-27. In this area there are a total of five Crew Challenges for players to complete. To help you in completing these challenges, use our Skywell-27 Crew Challenges guide below.

Skywell-27 Crew Challenges Locations Map

As mentioned above, Skywell-27 is a low gravity area which means jumping allows you to reach much higher locations. With this in mind check out the map above for all the Skywell-27 Crew Challenges locations.

Typhon Log #1: Maliwan Modulars

This Typhon Log can be found inside the area called Maliwan Modulars. It is sitting in a control room that can be accessed through a tunnel in the lower portion of the large area to the north.

Dead Claptrap: Maliwan Modulars

After you travel through the maintenance tunnels you will arrive in another wide open area. In this wide open area make your way towards the middle and you should see a large moon rock above you with the Dead Claptrap on it. Jump to it and collect the Antenna.

Typhon Log #2: Titanium Refinery

In the area with the Space Laser, look along the south wall and you should see some stone ledges you can jump to. Jump along these ledges to reach the Typhon Log at the end.

Typhon Log #3: Observation Deck

The final Typhon Log is located on a ledge above you when you enter the Observation Deck area. To reach it climb the ladder located to the west and use the pipe to jump to it.

Target of Opportunity: Observation Deck

Directly beneath where you found Typhon Log #3 you will find a Target of Opportunity called Handsome Jackie. Look down for some ledges and use them to reach this target.

Dead Claptrap: Observation Deck

South of both of these collectibles is a Dead Claptrap on the second floor of the building on the westside of the area you fight all the enemies. Jump to the ledge it is on to get the Dubstep Library.

Typhon Log Dead Drop: Observation Deck

Note : If you go to the here without gathering the logs, the chest is locked.

Once you have all the Typhon Logs this Dead Drop will unlock. It can be reached by turning to the left on the platform the Alablaster spawns on.

Borderlands 3 – Promethea All Named Locations

Borderlands 3 (BL3) has 43 Named Locations in Promethea. This guide shows all of them for each zone on Planet: Promethea. This unlocks the City Slicker trophy or achievement.

None of the named locations are missable! You can still discover all of them after the story in free-roam. You can go back to all relevant places during the endgame.

To keep track of your progress, open the map and hit the L3 / Left Stick. You can check this map by map or if you zoom out to the planet map select you can see the total progress on that planet.

Simply step into every named location, you just need to stand in the right spot. When you find something new it always says “Area Discovered” with the location name in the middle of the screen. There is no need to uncover (turn blue) the whole map, you just need to stand in the specific spots to register them.

It’s best to keep the locations for last and do all side missions first. The reason being that certain areas are locked behind specific side missions. After having done every main- and side mission in the game you will be able to access all places. Until then some named areas are unreachable.

The guide below lists the Zones in the same order as Promethea’s fast travel select. If you haven’t unlocked a zone yet you must advance further in the story.

I just did all locations, being the Restricted Catacombs the last one, but I did not get the ‘Area discovered’ although it says I now have 6/6 locations and the trophy is not popping. I have all locations discovered in all the worlds so I guess this one is the problematic?

For the record, I went again all the way to the Restricted Catacombs and now it says Entering Area, but neither the Promethea locations trophy nor All Locations trophy pop up. I got 223/223 locations

I’ve been through all 6 Neon Arterial locations over and over again, but my counter still says 5/6… doesn’t seem like patch 1.05 has fixed much.

Got same issue on Promethea. Trophy triggered when I went to the ‘Cistern of slaughter’ location.

Guys ive figured how to get past the glitch, basically with the new update everything get reset every time you restart the game, especially all the locations, the work around i found was… 1. Go offline 2. In a single sitting revist every location in a particular planet, for eg. you need to go to every area Pandora and be in the vicinity of the location like the how the guide mentions and see if it says “Area Discovered” almost all locations expect the ones on Covenant Pass seem to be affected…It took me hardly 25 min to finish the whole of pandora and for all locations discovered trophy you need to revisit all of the locations without exiting the game…Got all the location trophies doing this after this update… hope it helps🤘

I have every location discovered in each area, buy I never got a “new area discovered” notitifation for the Cistern of Slaughter. I run around the entire area and nothing pops up…

Dead Claptrap #1

The first Claptrap will be tied to a giant moon spire. In order to get to this, climb up on top of the rocks that are on the left of this spire, from here you can jump towards the first Claptrap.

Dead Claptrap #2

Look for the yellow wire or a red glow inside an attic on the second level, you will find the second Claptrap here.

Typhon Log #1

Look for a small building which has a grate right behind it. The Typhon Log will be inside this building. You will find this building when you enter Skywell-27 for the first time.

Typhon Log #2

Walk past most of the upper floor, once you come across a bigger area, you’ll see a few rocks to your left. Jump over and across these to reach for the Typhon Log.

Typhon Log #3

Go up to the second floor where you will find a few pipes, climb on top of these to reach a hidden nook/corner above you.

Search for a pipe at an elevated area on this part of the map. Follow this path until you reach the Typhon Log.

Typhon Dead Drop

You will find the Typhon Dead Drop once you reach the end of the hallway shown below.

Target of Opportunity

Stroll through the platforms on the surface of the moon, search for the Target of Opportunity in the area shown below in the map.
