That is an awesome trip that I have so far outside China. The group members are really nice. The trip always have some fun jokes, stories or different European languages and pronunciation funny stuff going on during the entire trip. The CEO also helps a lot and I am really appreciate for her help. Thanks to me such a amazing experience with all of members and CEO

Hiking in the Canadian Rockies
Great week..great people especially the two guides Jordan and Mikeala
Rockies Premium Tour from Vancouver (34 Seats)
Sabio and Will are a fantastic team. They gave exceptional local knowledge and a great ability to share. The tour covered a lot of the big items on our list without feeling rushed. Just a suggestion, We would have loved to be able to stop at the air walk on our way through the Rockies even for 10mins and maybe 1 or two stops to soak in the mountains and valleys and rivers to take extra photos. Would recommend Discover Canada and Tour Radar to everyone, John and Robyn

The Maritimes: Nova Scotia
My husband and I did the tour of the Martimes in Nova Scotia. It was beautiful country. Our tour guide, Louise, was fantastic. She is so kind and caring; she is an amazing safe driver. She's always there for you. The only thing I didn't like about the trip was the motel in Baddeck. It was so old; musty smelling. Needs a total renovation. Everything about it was pretty awful. No-one on the trip was happy with this hotel. Other than that, we did enjoy the rest of the trip. the other hotels were fine. The Picnic Louise arranged was a lot of fun and the hike was awesome on the Cabot trail.
Rockies Western Canada Iconic Sites: 7-Day Tour
Rochelle was terrific, very knowlegeable and helpful. The only thing I could say is it would have been nice to have a bit more commentary regarding the areas during the longer periods of driving.
7 Day Rocky Mountain Camping Adventure
I really enjoyed my hiking trip in the Canadian Rockies. Our guides Marianne and Catherine did a fantastic job with the execution of the trip. The food, getting us going in the morning and sticking to the plan allowed everyone to have a great time! I highly recommend this hiking itinerary. The only thing that I would address is the location of the camp sites. One camp site had a generator on 24 hours a day and another had a train track very close to our camp site and both sites kept me awake at night. Quite frankly my personal residence that sits in a urban area is MUCH more quiet than anything I experienced while camping.

7 Day Vancouver Island Camping Adventure
Our recently completed Fresh Adventures “Vancouver Island Adventure” was simply put, an incredible experience all around that we will treasure as one of our lifelong most memorable trips. Alex, the owner, delivered a unique connectivity with the awesome natural beauty and diversity of Vancouver Island for everyone irrespective of camping/hiking/paddling skills. Each day was jam packed with adventure and quality of food one might expect to get at a fine restaurant. From the first growth forests of Cathedral Grove to riding a pack freighter through Barkley Sound to sea kayaking out of protected islands near Torino and the expansive splendor and ruggedness of Strathcona Park as experienced by hiking to high mountain lakes, our 8 days flew by however our memories are indelibly etched in our souls. Were it possible, we’d give Alex and Fresh Adventures a 6 on a 1-5 scale. We enthusiastically recommend doing this trip !
The Best of Banff and Jasper, Hoteltour
Good Accommodation, Transport and Locations. Hikes could be more challenging than expected. Itinerary description didn’t always reflect options available. Plans changed often which caused confusion and some disappointment
- Coach / Bus
Vancouver Island Explorer
Great tour! Our guide Kilian was great. Having grown up in the area, he knew the best spots very well. Wonderful experience. I’m really satisfied. Very good hotels.
- In-depth Cultural
Discover the Canadian Rockies - Eastbound National Geographic Journeys
Excelente scenery wild life and outdoor experiences. I would back to west Canada but not in tour just driving by myself. We have great group and enjoy each other company
- Christmas & New Year
Eastern Canada Highlights in a Week
WY were fantastic. The hotels that were booked were above our expectations, central to all the tours we were booked on. Instructions regarding travel and meeting places were very clear and the included tours gave us a wonderful taste of each place, with a balance of free time for our own exploring. One of our flights was delayed by almost 6 hours (NOT WY’s fault) and we arrived in Toronto very early in the morning. WY organised our driver, contacted the hotel and thus we avoided what could have been a difficult situation in an unfamiliar city. Thank you WY - We absolutely recommend you as a reasonably priced, high quality, well organised tour group!!
- Walking Adventure
Gros Morne Adventure
Fantastic hikes, scenery, food, guides/drivers and accommodations. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to explore and learn more about Gros Morne.
Canadian Rockies and Pacific Coast (Calgary To Vancouver)
Discover the Canadian Rockies - Westbound National Geographic Journeys
Our Westbound tour of the Canadian Rockies with National Geographic/G Adventures was first class. It was made memorable by the care our tour guide Joanne took of what we saw, the multiple stops for photos, her knowledge of the history and geography of where we were and endless recommendations of things to do and see and where to dine. The scenery in the Rockies is breathtaking, the towns of Banff, Jasper and Whistler a delight and Victoria is charming with lots to see. Our shared house experience at Blue River with the barbecue cooked by Joanne was also something to remember.

Welcome to Canada
Canada is a country that feeds the souls of nature lovers and provides a depth of thinking to those culturally curious. From the rock candy mountains of Western Canada, to the sparkling European-flavored capital cities of the east, this is a destination we behold in our roots and continued to be inspired by.

In Canada's eastern provinces, our ninety plus years of experience means introducing you to the breathtaking coastal landscapes of Nova Scotia's Cabot Trail. Or taking a cruise to feel the mists of Niagara Falls. It's about indulging in a Celtic "kitchen party" on Cape Breton Island and a cider tasting in Quebec. It includes rug-making and scallop traditions in the Maritimes, visiting Anne of Green Gables' backyard on Prince Edward Island, an evening at the Citadel in Halifax, and many more regional experiences in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime Provinces.
Welcome to Western Canada
West and north of Canada's cosmopolitan capital cities lies some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, protected in stunning national parks dressed in jeweled lakes, iced mountains and wilderness playgrounds. Experiencing it with Tauck means stays in grand resorts, eye-opening walks on the wild side, and insights that inspire your daily discoveries. Traverse the Welland Canal
A marvel of engineering two centuries in the making....
Comprising eight locks that enable ship traffic to travel between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario by bypassing the Niagara River and Niagara Falls, the Welland Canal is a 200-year engineering marvel that actually represents four successive canals. Originally designed and built in the 1820s, a second canal replaced it in the late 1840s, and a third opened in 1887. The construction on the fourth and current Welland Canal – which your ship on "Cruising the Great Lakes" will traverse in about 11 hours, accompanied by an expert guide – began before World War I was not completed until 1932 and expanded some 40 years later.

What travelers are saying
"We spent two wonderful weeks touring several of the best destinations in Portugal & Spain with a group of 16 people. Our guide (Fredy) was from Spain and intimately familiar with the region, including its rich history, attractions, and food/beverages. The tour was well-paced using a combinations of private vehicles (small buses and cabs), trains, and an airplane ride as well as a fair amount of walking to get around these two beautiful countries. We extended our stay in Lisbon to see more attractions and took a side trip to Fatima, Obidos, and Nazare that was also excellent. Would have liked to have a bit more time in a couple of the cities, but we'll just have to plan another trip!"

"We joined the Intrepid “Real Italy Food Tour” and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our tour guide, Micol, was very knowledgeable and provided us with lots of good information. It seems Micol knew many of the staff of the venues we visited, including the pasta making class we attended. Our group of 11 travelers was extremely compatible, which greatly added to the fun and enjoyment."

Canada Tour Selection Trips
- Canada is quite similar to the United States in terms of most cultural protocols, which includes tipping, shopping, and dining.
- French is predominantly spoken in Quebec. If you head to Montreal or elsewhere in the province, most people speak both English and French, but be aware that French may be preferred!
- Do not underestimate the Canadian winter – plan your packing list accordingly!

Common Canada Tour Options
Some of the most common ways to traverse Canada’s landscape are by foot or car. In fact, many guided tours in Canada will provide travelers with vans or cars in order to facilitate travel between sites.
For travelers who wish to avoid traffic or long commute times, domestic flights between all major cities are available daily. It is important to speak with guided tour companies beforehand about flight availability, as this can impact the number of activities that are available and may require extra transportation to and from lodging locations.
Since Canada’s population is most heavily concentrated within its southern portion, traveling by train is also a viable option for travelers. While this eliminates the need to buy tickets early on, the train system is limited and only has a few stops in northern Canada. So travelers who wish to visit Canada’s urban centers are the ones who will find rail to be a convenient mode of transport.
Those who wish to push further into nature may consider going by car, foot, or even dog-sled in some more remote parts of the country. Travelers who wish to avoid commuting on land entirely will find an abundant number of cruise lines that make stops at major ports and also provide opportunities for birding and whale watching . No matter how you choose to travel through Canada, be sure to enjoy your surroundings!
Packing List for Canada
Since Canada is a massive country with varying climates, packing for tours may seem daunting. However, by considering the length of stay, the time spent in cities, and which outdoor guided tour activities are planned, travelers can set themselves up for comfortable exploration.
In general, Canadian summers tend to be very hot, while its winters tend to be snowy and cold. While a regular suitcase is important to have during long stays in Canada, they are difficult to carry through snowy streets. For those participating in cruises, traditional luggage will be fine as it is unlikely to leave the ship when you head to the mainland.
Not only is a passport required to travel in Canada, but also an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), which is available on the country’s website. A driver’s or international license will also be required to rent a car and travelers may consider applying for travel insurance if they are worried about unforeseen events.
To prevent the need to bring a bag full of heavy and light clothes everywhere, travelers are encouraged to dress in layers. This means that regular jeans or athletic pants will be fine, but a variety of short and long sleeve shirts are needed. A windbreaker or light-weight fleece jacket will minimize the drastic temperatures that can be found at sea or at night throughout Canada.
Similarly, quality hiking boots are not only good for hikes but also traveling by foot in some of the more remote and snowy areas of northern Canada. In summer months, hiking boots or running shoes may be easier to bring along.
Those who are visiting Niagara Falls can choose to bring a waterproof coat or use the ones that are provided in the park. Similarly, hiking or camping trips will require extra equipment that can be brought in luggage, eliminating the need to buy costly alternatives in Canada. Contacting your chosen guided tour operator is important, as they may already provide certain camping equipment for participants.
Best Time to Visit Canada
Depending upon what travelers are looking to participate in during their trip through Canada, the “best” time to visit may differ. Since the weather is warmest, snow is at its lowest, and hiking trails are in full bloom, the summer months of June through August are the busiest times to visit Canada.
Weather is primarily hot and humid, but countless cultural activities take place during this time of year as school is out for the season. It is important to note that Vancouver is usually the coolest city during this time, making it not only very popular but also difficult to find inexpensive guided tours of.
With winter comes the crowds of skiers and extreme sports enthusiasts that flock to various resorts and campsites. Travelers who wish to participate in Canada’s unique range of winter outdoors activities will need to plan their trips in advance, as this is when the best prices and availability are to be found.
In the end, the best time to visit Canada is during its fall months of September to November. While the chance of rain is higher during this time, the weather is at a comfortably warm temperature that fosters a beautiful array of colors in surrounding nature.
Similarly, travelers during this season will find the cities less crowded with tourists, allowing for more inexpensive flights and guided tours. A little planning will also allow travelers during Canada’s fall to participate in national Thanksgiving traditions and events.
Canada's Regions
As the second-largest country in the world, Canada boasts not only an impressive stretch of the Rocky Mountains but also various other natural landmarks that travelers can visit. Each of Canada's five regions have their own respective claim to and maintenance of these special parts of the globe.
1. In the Atlantic Provinces , travelers will find cooler winters and cooler summers than in other parts of Canada. As the easternmost region of the country, travelers will also come into contact with Bay of Fundy, the site of the oldest British colony, Prince Edward Island .
Travelers can also see long-standing Gaelic and Celtic traditions that are still practiced today by the population in Nova Scotia . Life seems to revolve around the sea in the Atlantic Provinces, which can make for relaxing days at the beach or times spent exploring historic sea-ports.
2. As the region that contains the bulk of Canada’s citizens, Central Canada has access to the Great Lakes as well as the major cities of Quebec and Ontario . A hub for French culture, this region is an interesting stop for international travelers who wish to see the cultural diversity that Canada is so well-known for.
Not only is the food and movie industry impacted by French culture, but also the architecture and events that take place in Montreal and Ontario. The internationally famous Niagara Falls also call this region home, along with the impressive Canadian National Tower.
2. The Prairie Provinces are well-known for their rich natural resources as well as their vast cultural diversity.
Travelers will also find that the French Quarter in Winnipeg does not stand alone, as the city of Manitoba is also home to Ukranian and various Aboriginal groups. This provides travelers the opportunity for a unique cultural exchange that can be found in few other countries.
3. The West Coast of Canada has a much cooler temperature than its counterpart. British Columbia is not only the pathway to Asia-Pacific, but also contains nearly 600 provincial parks scattered throughout its borders. This has made the region a haven for international travelers who wish to explore the natural boundaries of the location.
4. The Northern Territories are oftentimes the coldest and snowiest parts of Canada. However, this does not mean that they do not see their fair share of travelers. Many come to witness the phenomenon known as “Land of the Midnight Sun,” where daylight can span twenty-four hours during the peak of summer months.
In the winter-time, the opposite occurs when nearly three months of almost total darkness falls over the territory. Polar bears also make their homes in this region, which has led to the development of safe ways to interact with them and a guide. The Northern Lights are highly visible in this area of Canada, making it an ideal place to spend time exploring the surrounding Arctic tundra through a guided tour and ending the night by the fireplace as the lights play overhead.

There’s no bad time for a trip to Canada, but our favorite time is from September through November. Throughout these months, the weather is cool, but still comfortable, and the foliage is absolutely stunning. In fact, if you’re seeking some leaf peeping, you’ll love our Fall Foliage Tour of the Canadian Maritime s.
If you’re traveling to Canada in the summer, you’ll want to pack sunscreen and a lot of layers, because the weather can vary between around 50 and 95°F. If you’re traveling further north it will be cooler. Up north, you’ll also experience exceptionally long days, so bring a sleep mask, too. If you’re looking to travel to Canada in the spring, fall, or winter, you’ll want to pack a lot of warm layers. It can get chilly walking along the glacial lakes and mountain trails!
As you plan any Canada tour, remember that while Canada has many similarities to the United States, it’s still a different country. That means you’ll need to bring your passport and exchange currencies when booking Canada tour packages from the USA.
Always carry cash. It can be difficult to find credit card machines or ATMs in more rural areas, so you’ll want to make sure you’re covered. Tipping between 15 and 20 percent is expected in the hospitality tourism, and service industries—so you’ll want to be sure you can leave some cash for people who help you, too.
When exploring Canada on a group tour, you’ll meet some incredible new friends as you experience a new country together. Second, our guided tours make it easy to see a country from a local’s perspective. Finally, when you take one of our all-inclusive trips to Canada, we take care of every detail for you. Just show up and have a great time.

The Marley Brothers Announce North American Tour in 2024
T he Marley Brothers are back in action with a North American tour this fall! The famed reggae group, which is made up of several of reggae legend Bob Marley’s sons, will travel across the US and Canada for a pretty hefty lineup of shows. It doesn’t look like there will be any openers or supporting acts for The Legacy Tour, but the high-energy group really doesn’t need anyone to hype up a crowd for them.
The Marley Brothers 2024 Tour will kick off on September 5 in Vancouver, British Columbia at Festival Lawn at Deer Lake Park. The tour will close on October 5 in Miami, Florida at FPL Solar Amphitheatre.
Fans can get their hands on tickets early through a few different presale events on Ticketmaster starting April 16 at 10:00 am local. VIP packages are also available.
Public on-sale starts on April 19 at 10:00 am local. If you can’t find tickets after the presale event ends, try Stubhub . It’s a great spot to score last-minute tickets, especially if your concert of choice is sold out.
See The Marley Brothers in action this year and get your tickets ASAP !
