Nike has spent the better part of 2022 celebrating the Air Force 1’s 40th Anniversary. But as we embark on the second half of the year, the brand is once again spotlighting some other notable birthdays, such as the Air Max 1 ‘s 35th.

Adding to the festivities is the women’s exclusive, “Tour Yellow” colorway. In regards to its color blocking, the pair seems to draw inspiration from the Tinker Hatfield-designed sneaker’s most iconic releases, some of which returned for the Air Max Day 2017. In mimicry of said offerings, the construction’s Swoosh, mudguard, and logo hits are highlighted in the aforementioned yellow, while the adjacent mesh inserts and tumbled leather overlays opt for white and grey, respectively.

Constructed of premium materials, the Air Max 1 “Tour Yellow” is slated to release on August 24th at select retailers and likely Nike SNKRS .

Nike Air Max 1 “Tour Yellow” Releases September 27th

Perfect for Summer 2022, Nike Sportswear will be releasing a new Air Max 1 that comes covered in Tour Yellow.

Dressed in a Photon Dust and Tour Yellow color scheme. This offering of the Nike Air Max 1 features a White mesh base with tumbled leather overlays. Yellow branding, Swooshes, mudguards, and Air bubbles atop a White midsole and Grey speckled rubber outsole completes the design.

With the first-ever retro of the Nike Air Max 1 “Curry” tomorrow , the month is off to a great start where Tinker Hatfield’s 1987 classic is concerned.

Things remain on the uptick as this newly released Air Max 1 debuts in Tour Yellow/Blue Recall. Upon closer inspection, it’s clear this colorway takes some of its inspiration from the Michigan Wolverines desired palette. It’s one that never grows old in sneaker culture.
