NEWS: Eddie Vedder Announces Australian Tour

(AUSTRALIA) Chugg Entertainment are thrilled to confirm that Pearl Jam’s notorious lead singer, Eddie Vedder, will be embarking on a long-awaited solo tour this coming February. Vedder will return to the stage in solo mode for a string of extraordinarily special theatre shows; live and intimate.

The tour will begin with two dates at Perth’s Riverside Theatre on Friday 7 th and Saturday 8 th February, Sydney’s State Theatre on Tuesday 11 th February and a performance at the Sydney Opera House on Thursday 13 th February, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Sunday 16 th and Tuesday 18 th February, and the QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane on Saturday 22 nd and Sunday 23 rd February.

Stepping out of his renowned role as the famed front-man of Pearl Jam has been more than well received by his Australian fans following the monumental response to his previous tour in early 2011.  When shows were announced, fans across the country erupted at the news and within hours of tickets going on sale to the public, more than ten theatre shows across the country were completely sold out leaving a plethora of fans empty handed and wanting more.

The staggering shows left fans and reviewers enthralled, with the Sydney Morning Herald citing of his State Theatre show that “he received ample love for his vulnerability” while “an adoring crowd hung off his every note.”

Following his last Australian tour, Vedder embarked on another chapter with the release of his second solo studio album, Ukulele Songs . Yet another critically acclaimed project described by Drowned In Sound as and album “brimming with integrity and enthusiasm and, most importantly, boasting great tunes.”

Bringing to the stage a swathe of songs from his solo records, as well as some Pearl Jam favourites, there can be no doubt that yet again, his Australian audience will stop in their tracks when Eddie Vedder takes the stage.  These enchanting shows are not to be missed.

Eddie Vedder (born December 23, 1964) is an American figurehead of alternative rock hailing from Evanston, Illinois, U.S. He is known as the lead singer and guitarist of Pearl Jam and as one of the finest rock vocalists of all time.

Plagued by an unhappy, uncertain childhood, Vedder turned to music at an early age as a cathartic release for his worries. Drawn to the music of The Who’s 1973 “Quadrophenia” album, after settling in San Diego, California, the singer and musician joined a number of local bands including Surf and Destroy, The Butts, Indian Style, and the funk rock band Bad Radio. After becoming acquainted with Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ drummer Jack Iron, Vedder was invited to audition for a new band by Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament in Seattle. That band ultimately became Pearl Jam and released their debut album “10” in August 1991 on Epic Records. Aided by the singles “Alive”, “Even Flow”, and “Jeremy”, the album has sold over 10 million copies making it one of the most successful albums of the 1990s.

Vedder’s role in Pearl Jam’s success is of an indisputable nature and his songwriting and vocal prowess can be seen on all of Pearl Jam’s 10 album releases. On top of his Pearl Jam contributions however the singer-songwriter has crafted a host of soundtrack and compilation work including “Dead Man Walking” in 1995, “I Am Sam” in 2001, “A Brokedown Melody” in 2004, and “Body of War” and “Reign Over Me” in 2007. Also in 2007 Vedder provided the simplistic, heartfelt and folksy soundtrack to the Sean Penn directed film “Into the Wild”. His song “Guaranteed” subsequently won Vedder the Golden Globe award for Best Original Song, after which the singer embarked on his first solo tour in early 2008.

Continuing the simplistic theme of “Into the Wild”, Vedder’s sophomore solo album “Ukulele Songs” is a collection of simple original and cover songs performed on the ukulele. In addition, Vedder has contributed to the music of some of the highest profile music acts including The Who, Ramones, Neil Young, The Strokes, Cat Power, Bad Religion, and performed with the likes of Paul McMartney, Rolling Stones, U2, Jay-Z and Elvis Costello.

It’s that most relatable of woes again. You front one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the past twenty five years. A band that can be relied on to sell out arenas and stadiums the world over with their legendary blend of scything 90’s grunge rock and thunderous 70’s hard rock. However, just what is to be done when you want to take some time off from all that? The only way is down in terms of musical intensity and venue size but not necessarily in quality, as Eddie Vedder’s sojourn into ukulele led folk-rock magnificently shows. What’s more, it only gets better when he performs it live. Performing alone, for most part, on a stage strewn with ukuleles, acoustic guitars, suitcases and tape decks, Vedder captivates from the very start. That unmistakable voice more subtly deployed than in his day job but no less affecting. Playing songs from his two solo albums Ukulele Songs and the Into the Wild soundtrack dispersed with a multitude of covers that change from night after night, Vedder also finds himself joined onstage by a revolving cast of guests, artists like Roger Daltrey, Glen Hansard, Tom Morello, Cat Power and many more have performed with the Pearl jam frontman on stage and it’s electric every time. Even though you might know him best when he’s playing histrionic rock and roll, every side of Eddie Vedder is worth spending an evening with, and if you have any time at all for laid back folk then I can’t recommend a show of his enough.

It is pretty difficult to come away from a multi-platinum selling band capable of selling out arenas who are recognised around the globe and forge a solo career of your own that takes a different sonar appearance. This is exactly what Eddie Vedder has done, most commonly known as the lead singer of Pearl Jam.

Moving away from the grunge rock sound of the band, Vedder is more inspired by folk/rock and with ukulele in hand goes about entertaining the crowd with both his own work and inventive covers of his band's discography. There is quite an intimate attraction to seeing Eddie without the show of Pearl Jam and instead just taking to a relatively sparse stage with a few accompanying musicians. He goes about demonstrating the strength of his own recordings before reimagining 'Porch' and 'Man Of the Hour' all of which are received well by the devoted fans. Both the covers and solo work sound very unique to Vedder and once again shows his skill as a musician and his understanding of genre conventions.

Eddie is a class act. Great with the fans, giving away guitar picks via slingshot, always in a great mood, really enjoys playing and sharing his music as also admiring the historic venues in which he is given a chance to play live. He tries to speak a bit of the local language even though he sucks at it but aknowledges it with class and humor. Lots of great Pearl Jam material, epic covers and, of course, the best of his solo work. Creative, with great improvisation and great musical guests. From Porch to Unthought Known, to a symphonic, totally instrumental version of Alive, to Guaranteed and Without You, as also a lot of other classics like Can't Keep, Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town, Off he Goes, Immortality and legendary covers like David Bowie's Heroes, The Beatles' You Gotta Hide Your Love Away and, his apparent favorite: Neil Young's Rockin' in the Free World.

I attended the 2nd show Eddie gave in Amsterdam. After a hesitating start Eddie took over the Afas theatre only the way he can. Almost 30 songs in a bit more than 2 hours with some surprising covers and less obvious Pearl Jam songs. Sometimes he seemed a bit fragile and in his words to the audience there were jokes but also grieve was very present. Highlight for me was Man of the Hour in honor of his wife's grandfather.

Also the collaboration with the Red Limo Stringquartet was great, and even that great that they will be touring with him the next shows. Also the duets with Glen Hansard, even though he was in hospital all day because of a sore throat, were highlights.

Please keep on doing these kind of gigs next to Pearl Jam, and keep on amazing us.

I know realise how expensive tickets were, mine was one of the cheapest and it costed me 64 euros!!!

I can remember Pearl Jam's trial twenty years ago, against Ticket Master(which was selling tickets for this gig in Madrid yesterday by the way) , claiming for their tickets not to be more than 19.50 dollars, when Ticket Master was charging unethically 2 euros for management costs. Where are those times nowadays?

The concert was not any bad, but , once more, I got just astonished at the prices of merch: 30 euros a cotton

t-shirt!!! Ok , I think this is just going to be last time I go see Mr Vedder, guess he's grown up and forgot about his justice principles, BUT I HAVEN'T and I won't contribute no more to this incoherence.

Excellent intimate and personal experience with Eddie. Great crowd and atmosphere throughout the night!!

Apart from the odd fool that drank too much and talked through aloud through some of the songs it was a very memorable night.

Highlight for me was Jeremy dedicated to UK election results and change in the world!!

I've always been a huge fan of Pearl Jam, but I confess I didn't really thought that Eddie could pulled a solo concert with that greatness. I was absolutely in awe with his concert at Firenze!

Imagine run a solo, acoustic concert, in a crowd of 55 thousand people, for over 2 hours, and let everyone in ecstasy? Well, he did it!!!!

Well done, Eddie Veder, well done!

Brilliant show. One of the best I've seen in the Marquee in Cork. Said it was his favourite visit to Ireland and it showed. Seemed like he was never going to stop. Good show by Glen Hansard as well - showed real camaraderie between himself and Eddie. Here's hoping he'll be back with Pearl Jam.

Incredible artist and talent as good a performer as you will ever likely see. Gig was brilliant could not have enjoyed it more. True rock legend and amazing guy. Great to hear some alternative versions of my fav pearl jam songs too

Pearl Jam Announce ‘Dark Matter’ World Tour

Hours after dropping their new single “Dark Matter,” Pearl Jam have rolled out details of their new LP along with dates for a 35-date world tour, which kicks off May 4 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wraps November 21 in Sydney, Australia.

Dark Matter will hit shelves on April 19. It was produced by Andrew Watt and recorded over just three weeks at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California. The album was unveiled to the public on January 31 during a listening event at the Troubadour in Los Angeles that the band attended.

“I’m getting chills,” Vedder told the crowd, “because I have good memories. We’re still looking for ways to communicate. We’re at this time in our lives when you could do it or you could not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful, and we hopefully think is our best work. No hyperbole, I think this is our best work.”

The tour will hit nine countries all across the globe and will ultimately be their longest run of shows in a calendar year since 2009. They’ll be joined by Deep Sea Diver on the first North American leg, Glen Hansard on the second North American leg, the Murder Capitol in Europe and parts of England, Richard Ashcroft in Dublin and London, and Pixies in Australia and New Zealand.

Australian audiences will get a double-dose of Eddie Vedder in 2014.

The rock legend has announced an eight-date, six-city solo tour of Australia, which kicks off less than a week after his band Pearl Jam wraps up its duties on the Big Day Out festival run.

As previously reported, Pearl Jam will headline the 2014 edition of the Big Day Out , which starts Jan. 17 in Auckland, New Zealand and takes-in the five big Australian cities, finishing Feb. 2 in Perth.

Vedder’s itinerary allows him to stay for a few days in the remote, beach-dotted Western Australian capital. His solo dates start Feb. 7 with the first of two shows at Perth’s Riverside Theatre, before moving east for shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The solo dates should go some way to satisfying any Pearl Jam fans disappointed the band isn’t playing sideshows during the BDO visit.

Vedder has embarked on a handful of solo tours in the past, including treks in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012. Through 2013, the rocker’s energies have been focused on Pearl Jam, whose “Lightening Bolt” tour of North America started Oct. 11 and concluded Dec. 6.

A special Ten Club pre-sale opened today for tickets to Vedder’s solo Australian dates, while the official onsale begins Dec. 18.

Eddie Vedder tour 2024 announced : Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder and his new solo band The Earthlings will embark on their first tour in early 2022, starting on February 3-4 at the Beacon Theatre in New York. The eight-concert tour, Vedder's first solo tour of the United States since 2012, will support his upcoming solo album, The Earthling, which will be released on February 11 via Seattle Surf/Republic.

As previously reported, Earthlings debuted live on September 24 at Vedder's Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California. The band features guitarist Andrew Watt (who also produced "Earthling"), multi-instrumentalists Josh Klinghoffer and Glen Hansard, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. The Who's bassist Pino Palladino played with the Earthlings at Ohana, but due to scheduling issues he will be replaced on the 2022 tour by Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney.

At Ohana, the Earthlings performed two Earthling songs ("Long Way," which is No. 10 on the Billboard Adult Alternative Airplay chart this week, and "The Haves"), played a handful of Pearl Jam songs ("Porch," "Corduroy"), and experimented with covers of the Pretenders' "Precious," Pete Townshend's "Give Blood" and the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go," among others. Vedder has also performed several solo songs, including songs from the soundtrack of the 2007 Golden Globe-winning film Into the Wild.

Eddie Vedder will be touring in February to promote his forthcoming album Earthling and will be bringing his new band The Earthlings with him. The band will feature Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, bassist for Jane's Addiction Chris Chaney, former Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, guitarist/vocalist Glen Hansard and guitarist Andrew Watt.

Eddie Vedder and the Earthlings made their live debut on September 25 at the Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California. Their set included a handful of Vedder originals ("I'll Be Waiting," "Tender Mercies"), as well as several classic rock covers (The Who's "I'm One," The Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go") and a few Pearl Jam songs ("Better Man," "Corduroy"). The tour kicks off on February 3 at the Beacon Theater in New York City and ends on February 22 at Benaroya Hall in Seattle. Eddie Vedder 2024 tickets are sold on this site.

Are Pearl Jam About To Announce An Aussie Tour?

It would mark their first shows Down Under since Big Day Out's final run in 2014.

Seattle rockers Pearl Jam may finally be returning to Australia for a tour — if their latest social media post is anything to go by.

On Wednesday (Dec. 20), Pearl Jam shared a video performing Do The Evolution at their 1998 show at Melbourne Park along with the telling caption, “Are you koala-fied for our ticket presales? Not a current member? Hop to it, mate! 🐨🦘🇦🇺 #TenDaysOfPJ”

Of course, fans were quick to hit the comments to suggest that an Aussie tour announcement must be imminent.

“So is this your way of saying they're FINALLY coming back to Australia!?!?” asked one eager fan, while another added, “This would be the best Christmas gift! An Australian tour!!!!”

While nothing is official yet, eagle-eyed fans on the band’s subreddit have suggested that Pearl Jam’s Australian and New Zealand shows will take place from November 8 to 10 in Auckland, before heading to Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne from November 13 to 23.

The news would undoubtedly be huge, considering the last time that Pearl Jam played in Australia was during the final Big Day Out run back in 2014 . 

Back in February 2021, Eddie Vedder gave Australian fans some hope as he hinted at the band's long-awaited return Down Under. 

The US artist called in as a guest on NOVA's Chrissie, Sam & Browny show as part of their 'Celebrity Chase' segment, with Vedder saying that an Australian tour could be likely post-COVID. 

"Any hope of seeing Pearl Jam [here] in the next 18 months, Ed?" asked co-host Browny. 

"You know, actually because of the circumstance and because of the way you handled it," responded Vedder, "in some ways, I could say with confidence it could be the first place we play."

In an announcement posted on Twitter, he said that the Seattle shows would be held to raise support for EB Research Partnership (EBRP), an organization dedicated to funding research to treat and cure Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) — a life-threatening genetic skin disorder affecting children from birth. Vedder is among the founders of the organization.

All proceeds from the shows will be donated to the organization for research.

Before heading to Seattle, Vedder will play Ohana Festival at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The festival, founded by Vedder himself in 2016, will host The Killers and Foo Fighters as headliners alongside Vedder during its 2023 edition from September 29 through October 1.

Beyond the headliners, other acts announced include The War On Drugs, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Father John Misty, Goose, Japanese Breakfast, The Backseat Lovers, Charley Crockett, Glen Hansard, Lucius, and Thee Sacred Souls, among many others.

Vedder was set for his solo journey in 2007 with his debut solo record, the soundtrack for the film “Into The Wild,” which was followed by three more records. Most recently, he dropped Earthling in 2022.

Apart from his solo endeavors later this year, the musician will perform with his band Pearl Jam from August 31 through to September 19. The tour sees the band visit just five cities, performing two shows each in St. Paul, Chicago, Fort Worth, and Austin, as well as one show in Indianapolis.

Eddie Vedder and backing band Earthlings are stopping in Paso Robles on October 5 at Vina Robles Amphitheatre and Las Vegas on October 7 at Dolby Live at Park MGM . Earthlings are drummer Chad Smith, keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist Josh Klinghoffer, bassist Chris Chaney, guitarist/vocalist Glen Hansard, and guitarist Andrew Watt.

Can I register more than once to increase my invitation status?

I received a confirmation email, what does that mean?

Does registering mean I get a Verified Fan access code?

Pearl Jam will release their twelfth studio album, Dark Matter, on Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records on April 19, 2024 and launch a 35-date worldwide tour this May. The album’s title track is available now HERE . Produced by multi-GRAMMY® award winning producer Andrew Watt, Dark Matter, marks the band’s first release since critically-acclaimed Gigaton (2020).

In 2023, the members of Pearl Jam — Eddie Vedder [vocals], Jeff Ament [bass], Stone Gossard [rhythm guitar], Mike McCready [lead guitar], and Matt Cameron [drums]—retreated to Shangri-La Studios in Malibu where they simply plugged in and played with producer Andrew Watt at the helm.

The musicians faced one another in the same space and communicated sonically at the highest level. Writing and recording in a burst of inspiration, Dark Matter was born in just three weeks.

As a result, Dark Matter channels the shared spirit of a group of lifelong creative confidants and brothers in one room playing as if their very lives depended on it. All of the blood, sweat, tears, and energy of a storied career felt renewed and poured into this one body of work.

The band members personally previewed the record with a listening party at the iconic Troubadour in West Hollywood during GRAMMY® week:

Vedder said: “I’m getting chills, because I have good memories. We’re still looking for ways to communicate. We’re at this time in our lives when you could do it or you could not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful and we hopefully think is our best work. No hyperbole, I think this is our best work.”

Ament added, “What Ed said about getting us in a room at this point, we felt like we were about to make a really important record. A lot of that had to do with the atmosphere Andrew set up. He has encyclopedic knowledge of our history, not only as a band and how we wrote songs, but as players. He could pinpoint things we did on old songs to the point where I was like, ‘What the fuck is he talking about?’ His excitement was contagious. He’s a force. I just want to say thanks for keeping us on track. I couldn’t be prouder of us as a band. I feel so grateful for the fans, but mostly for my brothers and these people I’ve made music with.”

Dark Matter album packaging features light painting art by Alexandr Gnezdilov . Light painting is an artistic form of photography where images are created by adjusting a camera’s exposure for an extended period and using a light source, such as a flashlight, to “paint” in the dark. The album cover art was crafted using a large self-made kaleidoscope. Dark Matter World Tour 2024

In support of Dark Matter , Pearl Jam will head out on a world tour this year, marking the first time the band has announced a new album and tour simultaneously and first time the group has unveiled all worldwide tour dates at once. Their global tour, hitting nine countries and 25 cities, kicks off at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, and will cover much of North America including shows at Wrigley Field, Madison Square Garden, Fenway Park, and their first hometown performance in six years at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, the world’s first net zero certified arena.

The tour continues with performances in the UK and Europe, including their first performance at London’s brand new and state-of-the-art Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, through September, followed by the group’s long-awaited ten-year return to New Zealand and Australia this November. Full routing below.

Special guests Deep Sea Diver (North America Leg 1), Glen Hansard (North America Leg 2), The Murder Capital (UK/EU), Richard Ashcroft (Dublin and London) and Pixies (Australia and New Zealand) will serve as support for these dates.

Tickets will be available two ways:

• A Ten Club members-only presale will be held through Ticketmaster Request for eligible members. Only paid Ten Club members active as of Monday, February 12 are eligible to participate in this presale. More info at pearljam.com
• Fans can register for a chance to participate in the Dark Matter World Tour 2024 registration sale at shops.ticketmasterpartners.com/pearl-jam by Sunday, February 18 at 11:59 PM local time for Europe, UK, Australia and New Zealand shows and by Sunday, February 18 at 11:59 pm PT for North America shows. This will be the only way for fans to participate in the onsale. Registration does not guarantee access to the sale.

The tour will use all-in pricing across all North America, Europe and UK shows to ensure the ticket price listed is the full out-of-pocket price inclusive of fees.

For fans in North America who can’t use their tickets, Pearl Jam and Ticketmaster will offer a Fan-to-Fan Face Value Ticket Exchange beginning at a later date to give fans the best chance to buy tickets at face value. To help protect the Exchange, Pearl Jam has also chosen to make tickets for this tour mobile only and restricted from transfer. About Pearl Jam

Pearl Jam is an alternative rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band’s lineup consists of bassist Jeff Ament, rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard, lead guitarist Mike McCready, lead singer/guitarist Eddie Vedder and drummer Matt Cameron. The name Andrew Watt in recent years has become synonymous with one very true phrase: the music industry’s not-so-secret weapon. About Alexandr Gnezdilov

Alexandr Gnezdilov created the light photography art for the cover of Pearl Jam’s Dark Matter single and album along with the featured lettering. His work is also utilized throughout the Dark Matter campaign. His interest in photography began at an early age in Moldova where he spent his childhood before expanding to explore long exposure and light painting techniques after moving to Germany in 2001.

Alexandr created the cover of Dark Matter using a large self made kaleidoscope with each letter visible on the cover individually captured, handwritten midair with a specially designed flashlight to create the pearlescent effect. His artwork has been featured in multiple exhibitions including collaborations with the State Theatre of Nuremberg and has been licensed for the past decade for articles, news and commercials.

Gnezdilov lives in Nuremberg, Germany with his wife and two sons and works primarily as a software engineer. When not working, Alexandr’s other passions include music and he recently released his debut album Space Wire with his band “Pulsar Clock.”

Vedder’s highly anticipated new album Earthling will be available on February 11, 2022 via Seattle Surf/Republic Records. Earthling , which was produced by Grammy Award® winning producer Andrew Watt, is the first album since Vedder’s 2011 Ukulele Songs .

Eddie Vedder has been busy – recently collaborating with Glen Hansard on eight new compositions for the Flag Day Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The Soundtrack features noted singer-songwriter Cat Power who contributes three new original songs, along with one cover, and the debut of Olivia Vedder on two tracks. The thirteen-track soundtrack serves as the musical companion to the Cannes Film Festival selected film Flag Day starring and directed by Academy Award winner Sean Penn and starring his daughter Dylan Penn.

Pearl Jam sets 2023 U.S. tour, touts ‘fairly priced tickets’ amid Ticketmaster drama

Pearl Jam is hitting the road this year, and the band hopes fans can come along without breaking the bank.

On Thursday, the rock group announced its 2023 U.S. tour, commencing at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., on Aug. 31. Pearl Jam said it is taking action to “continue to protect fans’ access to fairly priced tickets.”

The Grammy-winning group — comprised of Jeff Ament, Matt Cameron, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready and Eddie Vedder — opted to “make tickets non-transferable where permitted” and will sell “approximately 10% of tickets through PJ Premium at the market rate to offset increased costs.”

Fans, politicians and even artists were complaining about Ticketmaster long before Taylor Swift filled stadiums. But experts say the anger may be misplaced.

The announcement continued: “Tickets on this tour will continue to be non-transferable in all states except Illinois where it is prohibited by law. We apologize in advance to Illinois fans who may be subject to increased ticket prices on the secondary market.”

Nontransferable tickets make it less likely that buyers can flip their tickets for a profit by selling to third-party sites and scalpers.

Fans can register for Ticketmaster ‘s Verified Fan program before tickets go on sale on April 28 at 10 a.m. local time. Current Pearl Jam Ten Club members have access to the ticket presale.

After a massive slump during COVID , the concert industry is again sh-boom, sh-booming! The gross for the top 100 North American tours in 2023 reached $6.63 billion, up 39.5 percent over 2022, with attendance nearly doubling, to 15,008 per show, according to Pollstar.

And this year is shaping up to be another box office blowout. Despite the national outrage over price spikes for eggs, airfare and gas , music lovers seem immune to ticket shock. Ticket prices climbed 22 percent last year, to an average of $135.88, compared to $111.49 in 2022. And the trend is pointing skyward.

Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour and Beyonce’s “Renaissance World” tour ranked first and second last year, but boomer acts remain the tour circuit’s lucrative and reliable summer tentpole, delivering packed arenas and sheds year after year as fans flock to relish the oldies and rekindle the past.

Here are the acts to catch this sunny season.

​Heart (April 20–May 24, Aug. 10–Nov. 22)

Sisters Ann Wilson, 73, and Nancy Wilson, 70, haven’t released an album since 2016’s Beautiful Broken , but they have decades of hits, including “Magic Man,” “Barracuda,” “These Dreams” and “Alone,” to draw from on their “Royal Flush” tour . Cheap Trick opens.

Kenny Chesney (April 20–Aug. 23)

After hitting arenas last year, country star Chesney, 56, has booked 18 stadiums for shows with openers including the Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker, his duet partner on chart-topper “When the Sun Goes Down.” All but one of the shows are on Saturdays.

​Billy Joel (April 26–Nov. 9)

The Piano Man, 74, has scheduled only 13 dates , four of them at New York’s Madison Square Garden, so ticket stampedes are likely. Fans are curious to know if “Turn the Lights Back On,” Joel’s first single in 17 years, will be added to his hit-heavy repertoire.

Between Fleetwood Mac’s songbook and her own solo catalog, singer-songwriter Nicks, 75, has a huge well of material to draw from as she extends a tour that started in February. She’s been performing crowd favorites “Landslide,” “Dreams,” “Rhiannon” and “Edge of Seventeen” as well as Tom Petty hits in honor of her late friend.

A touring juggernaut, honky-tonk country singer-songwriter Strait, 71, resumes the record-breaking stadium tour he kicked off in 2023. He’s joined by Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town. The King of Country serves up “his own Eras tour, leading a well-curated, decades-spanning set of songs,” according to  Billboard .

​Roger Daltrey (May 6, June 10–29)

Daltrey, 80, the Who’s charismatic singer, headlines a solo electric and acoustic tour that showcases the British band’s songs, tunes from his own catalog and personal stories. KT Tunstall, Dan Bern and Leslie Mendelson rotate opening slots.

Pearl Jam (May 10–May 30, Aug. 22–Sept. 9)

Seattle’s grunge pioneers (whose average age is 59) have mapped out their high-demand “Dark Matter” world tour to follow the April release of their 12th studio album,  Dark Matter . Ten Club members can register for the presale. Nonmembers? Watch the secondary ticket market sites.

​Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire (May 15–Sept. 7)

The brass-driven rock band and the R&B group join forces for the return of their “Heart & Soul” tour . The night features each legendary act’s full set and culminates in a finale with both on stage.

Lionel Richie (May 23–June 16)

After selling out 2023’s “Sing a Song All Night Long” tour, the soul-pop superstar, 74, returns for another 13 dates , performing solo hits “Hello,” “Dancing on the Ceiling” and “All Night Long” as well as such Commodores classics as “Easy,” “Brick House” and “Three Times a Lady.” With Earth, Wind & Fire ("September," "Boogie Wonderland").

​Red Hot Chili Peppers (May 28–July 30)

The California funk-rock quartet’s exhaustive “Unlimited Love” tour began in 2022 to celebrate that year’s pair of number 1 albums, Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen . Shows have been a mix of hits and covers of Funkadelic, the Clash, Elton John and others.

​Robert Plant and Alison Krauss (June 2–Sept. 1)

The unlikely duo of the former Led Zeppelin wailer, 75, and bluegrass/country queen, 52, take their eclectic Americana duets on the road . JD McPherson opens the shows and also plays guitar in the band. Plant and Krauss first linked talents for the hit 2007 album  Raising Sand , with a second collaboration,  Raise the Roof , arriving in 2021.

Janet Jackson (June 4–July 30)

The R&B/pop singer, 57, best known for “Control,” “Nasty,” “Miss You Much” and precision choreography, extends her 2023 “Together Again” tour with 35 dates in amphitheaters and arenas. Nelly (“Not in Herre”) opens.

​Alanis Morissette (June 9–Aug. 10)

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of her Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie album, the alt-rock singer, who turns 50 on June 1, is staging the “Triple Moon” tour , featuring guests Joan Jett, 65, and the Blackhearts and Morgan Wade. The album’s standout “Thank U” is likely on the set list, along with Jagged Little Pill selections.

​Foreigner and Styx (June 11–Aug. 28)

Ten years after linking up for their “Soundtrack of Summer” trek, vintage rock bands Foreigner (“Hot Blooded,” “Double Vision,” “I Want to Know What Love Is”) and Styx (“Come Sail Away,” “Lady,” “Mr. Roboto”) are together again for a classic rock showdown they’re calling the “Renegades and Juke Box Heroes” tour. John Waite, 71, is the opener.

Blink-182 (June 20–Aug. 13)

The high-energy pop-punk band, featuring Mark Hoppus, 52, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, will play stadiums and arenas in support of their album  One More Time…  Dubbed the “Blink-182” tour , it’s a maturity leap from their 1998 outing, the “PooPoo PeePee” tour.

Jennifer Lopez (June 26–Aug. 17)

The “This Is Me … Live: The Greatest Hits” tour , the first outing for J. Lo, 54, since 2019, celebrates her past while also serving up fresh cuts from her February studio album,  This Is Me … Now,  released along with companion films This Is Me … Now: A Love Story and The Greatest Love Story Never Told .

​Journey and Def Leppard (July 6–Sept. 8)

Journey, whose 18-times-platinum “Don’t Stop Believin’ ” was recently crowned the biggest song of all time, co-headlines with fellow legacy rock band Def Leppard on a stadium tour , with rotating guests Heart, the Steve Miller Band and Cheap Trick.

Jewel and Melissa Etheridge (July 11–Oct. 5)

Jewel, 50 on May 23, and Etheridge , 62, team up for a co-headlining tour that spans their catalogs, with emphasis on their ’90s peaks. Jewel will dip into 2022’s  Freewheelin’ Woman , and Etheridge, coming off her “I’m Not Broken” tour , revives “Come to My Window” and “I’m the Only One.”

The Pretenders (July 13–Aug. 14)

The British-American rock band, led by original members Chrissie Hynde , 72, and Martin Chambers, 72, will launch a sprawling world tour to promote last September’s release of their album  Relentless . The set list also dives into a deep bag of hits that include “Brass in Pocket,” “My City Was Gone,” “I’ll Stand by You” and “Precious.”

Foo Fighters (July 17–Aug. 18, May 1–9)

In their biggest headlining U.S. shows so far, the Foo Fighters will play stadiums on their “Everything or Nothing at All” tour , with rotating support acts that include the Hives, L7 and the Pretenders. In 2023, the Seattle band, led by Nirvana member Dave Grohl, 55, released  But Here We Are , its first studio album since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022.

Green Day (July 29–Sept. 28)

The punk trio takes on stadiums in its extensive “Saviors” tour , named after the new album that spawned “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and “Look Ma, No Brains!” Openers include Smashing Pumpkins and Rancid.

Pink (Aug. 10–Nov. 23)

The rock belter’s “Summer Carnival” tour , which began last year, covers a wide range of material, from hits “So What,” “Get the Party Started” and “Who Knew” to the title track from her latest album,  Trustfall,  to such covers as Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love” and Janis Joplin’s signature tune “Me and Bobby McGee.”

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band (Aug. 15–Sept. 15)

Many 2023 tour dates were postponed when the Boss called in sick with peptic ulcer disease and E Street members got COVID. Springsteen, 74, is back at work and promising a wider selection of songs than the fairly static set list played earlier in the tour .

​Crowded House (Aug. 29–Sept. 28)

The Australian rock band, best known for “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “Something So Strong,” will launch its “Gravity Stairs” tour to support its eighth studio album, Gravity Stairs , out May 31. In 2019, a reshuffled lineup added original producer Mitchell Froom and founding member Neil Finn’s sons Liam and Elroy to the lineup.
