We informed hemender that we do not want to go the usual Itinerary and wanted few different things and he helped us to fulfil that requirements.I had been to India couple of Times so I knew how to negotiate on prices.There were few airlines and many transfers while visiting this majestic land but was handled seamlessly. Our local guides were awesome and experienced. Our Driver was also a nice person who took care of all our needs while driving. 10/10 I would recommend Travelcon among my friends/family members.

Overall in India we find that and have opportunity to go on an 11-day tour of North East India and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The tour package was well-organized and covered all the major destinations in the region, giving us a comprehensive overview of the culture, history, and natural beauty of this lesser-explored part of India. The tour started in Guwahati, the gateway to North East India, where we were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. From there, we traveled to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, known as the 'Scotland of the East' for its stunning landscapes and pleasant climate. We visited the famous Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani Lake, and were mesmerized by its crystal clear water and surrounding hills. Next, we headed to Cherrapunjee, one of the wettest places on earth, where we got to witness the spectacular Seven Sisters Waterfall and the living root bridges, a unique and fascinating man-made wonder. The tour also took us to Mawlynnong, known as the cleanest village in Asia, and we were amazed by its pristine surroundings and the warm hospitality of the locals. We then continued our journey to Kaziranga National Park, home to the famous one-horned rhinoceros. We were lucky enough to spot these magnificent creatures during our safari in the park. The tour also included a visit to Majuli Island, the world's largest river island, where we got to experience the unique Assamese culture and enjoy a traditional dance performance. The highlight of the tour was our visit to Tawang, located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, which is home to the second-largest Buddhist monastery in the world. The monastery was a sight to behold, and we were fortunate to witness the daily rituals and prayers of the monks. The tour also took us to the picturesque Sela Pass, which offered breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains. Throughout the tour, we were impressed by the beauty and diversity of North East India. The accommodations provided were comfortable and the food was delicious, giving us a taste of the local cuisine. Our tour guide was highly knowledgeable and shared interesting insights about the places we visited. Overall, I would highly recommend this 11-day tour package to anyone looking to explore the exotic North East region of India. It was a perfect blend of nature, culture, and adventure, and I returned home with a deeper appreciation for this lesser-known part of our country.

Bagdogra Airport has good connectivity with major cities in India such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Bangalore. If you are looking for a faster mode of transportation, helicopter services are also available from Bagdogra to Gangtok, which takes only about 20 minutes to reach. Sikkim via Railways

Since Sikkim is a hilly region, it lacks a railway station and therefore rail connectivity. The nearest railway stations to Sikkim are Siliguri Railway Station and New Jalpaiguri station (NJP). Siliguri Railway Station is approximately 145 kilometres from Gangtok, while New Jalpaiguri is around 188 kilometres away. These rail-heads have excellent train connectivity to other parts of the country, with popular trains such as Kamakhya Express, Rajdhani Express, Arunachal Express and Sampark Kranti Express serving the stations.

Itinerary (Day Wise)

Bagdogra – pelling (2 nights).

Tour Guests will meet at Bagdogra Airport as per the scheduled flight departure time. Upon arrival they will meet Veena World Tour Manager and proceed to Pelling - a beautiful town in Sikkim with breathtaking views of the Himalayas. In the evening, we enjoy a short Meet & Greet session.

Today we explore the city of Pelling. We visit Glass Skywalk and Chenrezig statue. We enjoy a walk in Darap Village – home to Limboo Community to witness their culture and lifestyle. Later we visit Khecheopalri Lake and Rabdentse Ruins. We have free time for shopping at Geyzing.

Pelling – Namchi – Gangtok (2 Nights)

Today we proceed to Namchi to visit the Chardham Temple – also known as Siddheshwar Dham where we can witness one of the tallest statue of Lord Shiva and Samdruptse Monastery to view the statue of Guru Padmasambhava which has a height of 135ft. Later we proceed to Gangtok - a city situated amidst natural beauty.

Today we explore Gangtok city, we visit Ranka Monastery, Banjhakri waterfall, we enjoy a Rope Way Ride which gives us a splendid view of Gangtok city, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and Dordul Chorten Stupa. Later we visit the Flower exhibition centre, Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok and Tashi View Point to capture amazing views of Himalayan ranges.

Gangtok – Lachung (2 Nights)

Today we proceed to Lachung - One of the most stunning Himalayan villages. En route we visit Bhim Nala Waterfalls – one of the tallest waterfalls in Sikkim.

Note: Zero Point is under BSF and the visit is subject to permission. Foreigners and NRI's are restricted to visit Yume Samdong ( Zero Point) as per Government regulations.

Lachung – Gangtok (2 Nights)

Today we proceed to Gangtok. In the evening we enjoy the local folk dance.

Today we visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir – a holy shrine honouring Indian army soldier, folk hero and saint Baba Harbhajan Singh. Later we visit Tsomgo Lake – a high altitude scenic lake considered to be sacred by the Sikkimese. In the evening, we have some free time to explore the nightlife and casinos of Gangtok on our own. Note: Foreigners and NRI's are restricted to visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir as per Government regulations.

Gangtok – Tista River Rafting – Siliguri (1 Night)

Today we proceed to Siliguri. En route we visit Tista River for a thrilling experience of white water rafting. On arrival we have some free time for exploring the surroundings.

Siliguri – Bagdogra – Departure to Hometown

Today morning we proceed to Bagdogra. It’s time now to say goodbye, Phir Milenge! Let’s stay in touch with each other through email, phone, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, etc. and meet again on yet another memorable Veena World tour. See you all! ‘Mumbai to Mumbai’ tour guests will proceed to the airport as per their scheduled group flight departure time and start their journey back home. 'Joining & Leaving' tour guests will proceed on their own to their scheduled departure destination, like an airport, railway station, bus terminal, or cruise terminal. Tour concludes. Please note: Given the current dynamic situation some monuments or sightseeing places may be closed temporarily without any prior notice; in such cases every attempt will be made to visit an alternate sightseeing if possible. For transfers and sightseeing we will use small cars / Tempo Travellers / Mini or big coaches depending on the respective tour group size. In case of small cars there will be 5-6 guests in one car. If you wish to utilise the vehicle solely for yourself or your family or you would like to upgrade the vehicle, we can arrange the same at an additional cost subject to availability. We request all guests to abide by the mandatory requirements for travel to the destination, such as RT-PCR tests, web check-in, self-declaration, e-pass formalities etc. as per the state/country, which are subject to change periodically. • As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
• Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
• It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.

This scenic journey of Sikkim Tourism came into the map of the nation's tourism industry for the first time in 1998-1999, when the Ministry of Tourism (MOT) recognised this charming state with the prestigious 'Best Tourism Performing State in the North East'. From just a beautiful state to a national tourism attraction, Sikkim took away everyone's attraction in the following year. Well, this was just the beginning. Following the first win over other strong contenders, Sikkim Tourism never looked backed after this! In the next few year: 1999-2001, 2001-2002, 2002-2003 and 2005-2006, Sikkim Tourism bagged this prestigious title and became the most sought after choices of the tourists.

Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder'; Sikkim once again got into the eyes of its admirer in 2005, when it was awarded with the 'Best Eco Tourism Destination' in the country by Hospitality India. The zig-zag road through craggy mountain terrain takes you to Tsomgo Lake. Located at an altitude of 12,400 ft, the lake is enveloped in ethereal beauty and is considered sacred. The lake dons different looks in different seasons. In winters it gets covered in snow while in spring colourful flowers around the lake add life to it. Baba Harbhajan Mandir or the shrine is a must-visit place of Sikkim as it is dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh who was a brave Indian soldier. While carrying supplies to a remote post he died near the Nathula Pass in eastern Sikkim due to bad weather condition. After the excursion, we will drive you back to Gangtok. Nathula Pass is located at an altitude of 14,140 feet and is one of the highest motorable passes of India. It is one of the oldest trading border posts linking India and Tibet.

DAY 3 : Gangtok (Full day sightseeing tour)

Post breakfast, we will take you for a full day sightseeing tour of Gangtok. You will visit Ganesh Tok which is visited by people since ages and it also offers great views of Kangchenjunga. DAY 4 : Gangtok – Pelling(120 km/5.5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, we will drive you to Pelling. The journey from Gangtok to Pelling is pleasing as you will drive past the gorgeous tea gardens, majestic mountains, and scenic landscape. Pelling is a lovely town located amidst the pine forest. It offers great views of snow-capped mountains and the might Kangchenjunga. It is also a home to age-old monasteries. DAY 5 : Pelling (Full day local sightseeing)

Enjoy a fulfilling breakfast, and then head to Lachung, a wonderful hamlet surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks. It is well known for its apple, peach and apricot orchids, cascading waterfalls and lovely streams. The Lachung Chu river flows through the middle of the village dividing it into two. On the way to Lachung, stop at the Singhik View Point for arresting sights of mount Silnoulchu. The Seven Sister Waterfall is also on the way. Take a lunch break at Namok and later a tea break at Chungthang. Reach Lachung and check in the hotel. Refresh yourself and relax. The evening is at leisure. The late Sepoy counted his last breathe while serving his unit on October 4, 1968, in Sikkim. While he was escorting mules, he slipped and fell into the waters. His body which was carried by the current two kilometres away was found after three days. There is a belief that water kept at his temple becomes capable of curing different sicknesses.
