Leonel García es un cantante, músico y compositor mexicano. Nació el 27 de enero de 1975 en la Ciudad de México, ex integrante del dúo musical Sin Bandera. Hijo de padres tampiqueños, descubre tener un gran talento para la composición y una voz privilegiada a temprana edad. En los años noventa empezó a componer y dirigir para artistas jóvenes como Lynda, Jan, y Ernesto D'Alessio. Fue hasta el año 2000 que firma con la disquera Sony, donde conoce a Noel Schajris, con quien conformó el exitoso dúo Sin Bandera. En el año 2008 el grupo se separa y Leonel se lanza como solista bajo el alias de León Polar, alias que después cambiaría nuevamente por su nombre, Leonel García. Se caracteriza por hacer un juego de voz en la que puede llegar a notas agudas inclusive en concierto.

Self- taught by necessity, Leonel began to love music at a very young age thanks to the fact that his parents used it as “a glue” between moments and experiences in life. After working with several producers and learned what should and should not be done, he formed the duet Sin Bandera with Noel Schajris, who he has been working with the last eight years. Leonel has been able to get to know part of the world on a stage fueled by the energy of rhythm and blues, and gaining above all friendships and experiences as well as some awards, such as Gold, Platinum and Diamond Records, 5 Latin Grammys, American Grammy nominations, 12 Lo Nuestro Awards, Oye Awards, Billboard, ASCAP, 4 Lunas del Auditorio, MTV Video Music Awards, 2 Gold and 2 Silver Torches, Quinde of Gold and 3 Gold, and 3 Silver Gaviotas at the Viña del Mar Festival.

In 2018, besides finishing the tour with Sin Bandera, he launched a new production in which, for the first time, he worked with three different producers, Aureo Baqueiro, Martin Terefe and Rafael Arcaute. In 2019, he joined again with Noel Schajris for a successful tour along with Camila which formed the 4Latidos Tour. The tour started in California in 2019 and quickly spread into a world tour due to a high demand.In 2020 he produced and directed the album Amor Pasado, a Latin Grammy nominated album. In 2021 Leonel produced and directed 45RPM in which he also had several Latin Grammy nominations. In 2022 “Ella Y Yo”, an intimate solo album with guitar and voice recorded in one session in the Sony Music Studios in Mexico, and his latest release El Mejor Hombre Que Hay and El Fin Del Mundo, which will be part of the APPY/SAD album. Now, according to his own words, he will keep exploring music until the last day. In 2022, Leonel announced his Acustico Tour in Mexico and is now expanding to the US for the first time as a solo artist

Los más de 20 años de éxitos de los autores d e “Entra en mi vida”, “Que lloro”, “Kilómetros” y “Que me alcance la vida” tendrán la jornada de cierre las ciudades de Copiapó y Antofagasta , luego de casi dos años de viajes por todo el mundo, y cerca de 80 escenarios pisados.

Los encuentros ocurrirán el 21 de abril, en el Estadio Luis Valenzuela Hermosilla , de Copiapó . Cuatro días después, el 25 de abril, cerrarán la jornada en el Estadio Sokol, en la ciudad de Antofagasta .

Sergio Garcia goes back to old putter and shares LIV lead at Doral

DORAL, Fla. -- Sergio Garcia decided to refurbish the putter he used 25 years ago when he was a rookie and played like it was 1999 on Friday. He was bogey-free at Trump National Doral for a 5-under 67 to share the lead with Talor Gooch and Peter Uihlein in LIV Golf Miami.

Gooch had the lead until a bogey on his final hole, the par-4 second hole in the shotgun start. Uihlein dropped only one shot, at the par-4 18th, in his round of 67.

They led by one shot over a group that included Bubba Watson, a three-time runner-up on the Blue Monster course at Doral when it hosted a World Golf Championship event on the PGA Tour.

Masters champion Jon Rahm, winless so far in his inaugural season with the Saudi-funded league, shot 69. So did five-time major champion Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed.

Garcia said he got the Scotty Cameron staff to clean up his putter from 1999, when he challenged Tiger Woods in the PGA Championship at Medinah as a 19-year-old and played in his first Ryder Cup.

It served him well in his final event before the Masters, which he won in 2017.

Garcia is among 13 players from LIV who are playing next week at Augusta National. Gooch, a three-time winner on LIV last year, will not be joining them. He said earlier this year that if Rory McIlroy were to win the Masters, it would require an asterisk with so many top players from LIV Golf not playing.

Asked if his 67 was a statement about LIV players qualifying for majors, Gooch said he could only try to do what he did a year ago.

“I'm going to keep trying to shoot as many 67s as I can and eventually all of that will take care of itself,” he said.

Former masters champ among those tied for lead at 2024 liv golf miami, share this article.

Next week, 13 LIV golfers will head to Augusta National for the first men’s major championship of the year. And plenty of them, including the defending champion, have had success at Augusta National Golf Club.

One of those former past Masters champions is tied for the lead after the opening round of LIV Golf Miami at Trump National Doral.

Sergio Garcia, the 2017 Masters champion, is one of three players tied for the lead after a 5-under 67. Also tied on top are 2023 LIV individual champion Talor Gooch and Peter Uihlein.

Jon Rahm, the defending Masters champ, Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed are in a group sitting two shots behind and T-8.
