Discover Cinque Terre And The Gulf Of La Spezia By E-bike - Private Tour

An exciting journey among nature and enchanting landscapes, perfect for bike lovers and beginners alike.

Your specialist, mountain-bike guide will greet you at La Spezia Railway Station , providing the mountain bikes and informing you about the schedule of the excursion. You will start by biking for 30 minutes on the motorway towards Portovenere , an enchanting seaside village of pastel-colored tiny houses and narrow alleys. Here, you can admire the stunning views of the “Gulf of the Poets,” celebrated for centuries by such poets as Byron and Shelley.

Next, you will head uphill along an abandoned road once used by the military. Your guide will lead you to the tiny hamlet of Campiglia : admire the breathtaking views of the sea of Cinque Terre on the one side, and the Gulf of the Poets on the other. Here, you will be provided with a delicious, yet light, Ligurian lunch , including focaccia, cheese and vegetable cakes.

After relaxing and refueling, you will cycle for another hour until reaching the lovely resort of Volastra , where you are encouraged to take a break and capture the beautiful panoramas on camera.

Finally, you will cycle on the motorway to Manarola , a stunning town in Cinque Terre National Park . Here, you can spend some free time in this lovely fishing village , or board a train and go back to your accommodation full of lifelong memories.

Highlights of Italy

Enjoyed Highlights of Italy tour this August. Especially enjoyed Venice, with its spectacle of grand piazza's, canals and inviting shops of amazing masks and general festive atmosphere. Found our tour guide Inga, both engaging and professional with many tales of interest. Cinque Terra, was also very memorable with it's beautiful mountain top towns and vivid blue seascapes, walking the trail was unforgettable. With a great bunch of fellow travellers this was one of the most enjoyable tours i have booked. Only disappointment was arriving in Mestre to Hotel Mondail and the associated Hotel.açcross the road, this put a damper on the start of the trip, but fortunately the standard of hotels improved as we travelled throughout Italy. Overall fantastic trip.

A great cycling vacation! The individual stages were well chosen (route, length, landscape, hotels) and the navigation has largely worked very well. With the slopes, especially in the heat, a good condition or possibly an e-bike is required.

Best of Italy

The tour itself was a bit ambitious - not enough time in many places (Rome and Florence for example). On the other hand, I did get to see towns/ cities I would not otherwise have seen. The pace was good. The introductory walks in each new destination were excellent. The accommodation was much better than I expected! One suggestion: forget la Spezia. Try to organize accommodation in one of the cinque terre villages or Portovenere. There was really nothing in la Spezia, and it’s only used as a gateway to cinque terre. It’s a bit of a yawn! Yuri was a terrific tour leader. He was engaging and enthusiastic. There were lots of physical activities but no pressure to join in if someone wanted to do something else. Yuri’s knowledge of each place we went was so welcomed. He was fun, understanding, helpful. He went out of his way to assist me when I encountered a couple of unexpected difficulties. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour leader.

Our tour with Lorenzo was amazing, he showed us all around Venice on our first day, and again when we met with him in Florence for our city and wine tour. He was absolutely amazing and so much fun to be around, he made our experience and trip so memorable. Our tour of Rome was with Frederico and he was also great and knew so much about the history or the buildings and locations that we visited. The only part that was not enjoyable was our tour guide did not show up at the meeting location for our tour of Morano and Borano so we missed the boat to get there even though we were on time and waiting. Overall I had a great time on the tours and met a lot of amazing people.

The communication with Tour Radar was excellent. They were very responsive and helpful at all times. The train travel was seamless and easy to negotiate. The quality of the hotels was variable. Some were excellent and some only adequate. It may have been in the documentation, but I hadn't realised that a city tax needed to be paid at each hotel.

It was smooth and successful having the hotels and transfers between each city. The first seven days were extremely busy with full guided tours and then the pace slowed down to have more free time and relaxing moments the second half of the trip once we were along the coastal cities of Sorrento and Cinque Terre. This was a good tour to see many cities and the guides were knowledgeable and helpful in sharing the history of Italy. I know know which areas I will be going back to for longer time periods in my next trip.

The tour guide did seem to be a bit annoyed at us at the end when we wanted to get transport back to the hotel, after walking over half a marathon. This is notable considering a few members had lower body injuries/ health concerns. Other than that, I really loved my trip. I made friends for life, memories I’ll cherish for years
