Join the adventure aboard our 7.6m (25′) zodiac as we explore Gros Morne’s double-armed fjord – Bonne Bay. Our boat is smooth and stable and it offers an exhilarating experience on the water.

Private charter.

Join our adventurous skipper and local guide on board our 230hp twin-engine zodiac and tailor a trip for your group. The engines are quiet, the boat is smooth and Bonne Bay is the perfect setting to hop from cove to cove in search of marine life and picture perfect views of Gros Morne National Park.

Custom Charter - 2 Hour

Custom charter - 1 hour, zodiac & hike.

If Norris Point or Rocky Harbour is your base camp then start your day of backcountry hiking with a private water shuttle across Bonne Bay to access the south side of Gros Morne National Park. You’ll walk through the historic town of Woody Point with your guide to reach the trailhead for the Big Lookout Backcountry Hike. The Big Lookout is a 5-7 hour off-trail hike that’s roughly 16km long with 600m (2000 feet) of elevation gain. The route follows an old fire tower path (steep in places) that takes you to an elevated plateau. From here the route crosses the plateau where the terrain is often wet underfoot. The ascent to the Big Lookout starts up a steep scree slope then follows a ridge to the summit where an incredible panoramic view of Gros Morne National Park awaits!

Upon return to Woody Point grab an ice cream or a drink before hopping back on our zodiac for the return trip to Norris Point.

Come with us on a journey back in time where we look at Gros Morne through the eyes of her first inhabitants. Join local guide, Keith Payne in a sea-going zodiac to an isolated cove in Bonne Bay where we’ll explore what attracted successive Indigenous groups to this area. To understand how the First Peoples lived, we’ll look at the land from their perspective, look to the sea with their needs in mind, and hold the raw materials of their tools in our hands.

Enjoy a short walk on a game trail with Keith and explore the plants and animals that sustained early human life here. Check out the views from a headland, looking for the marine life that was so important to First Peoples in this area.  Try your hand at making fire using stone age tools, cooking bannock and roasting capelin over an open fire. Gather around the fire for tales of the triumphs and tragedies of our ancestors.

SUP & TOW

SUP ‘n Tow – Paddle in the sheltered coves of Bonne Bay. As the fisherman do, we’ll let the conditions dictate our plan and we’ll keep the wind at our backs. After a 1h30 paddle board tour you will be picked up by our zodiac and cruise back to our shop with the paddle boards in tow. This tour is more physically demanding and is great for people who have some SUP experience.

Senior Walking Tour Adventures

Senior tour – walking adventures.

Come explore Gros Morne National Park on a leisurely walking adventure with us. This adventure is geared toward the older generation but don’t let that fool you, we have a lot of guest that want to explore the park without all the hiking, that don’t want to complete all the strenuous hikes in the park but still want the most the park has to offer. That’s what this tours completes. We take in the beautiful Western Brook Pond Boat Tour, the awe inspiring tablelands to the colourful fishing communities that litter the shoreline of the park. Broom Point fishing Exhibit to growing our gardens on our organic farm. Lots to see and do without the hiking involved.

• Arrive to Deer Lake or Deer Lake Airport (YDF)
• Met by your guide and transported to beautiful Gros Morne National Park
• In the evening we have a welcome home cooked dinner with an array of fresh sea food from our boat and veggies from our organic garden. Newfoundland Music Introduction as well.
• Begin the morning with breakfast of fresh bread and jams, along with free range eggs from our garden.
• Begin our journey to Norris Point where we board the water taxi to travel to the beautiful town of Woody Point
• Our guide will meet you there and begin our journey to the Discovery Centre, one of the south side of the parks main attractions.
• We then start our travels to Trout River. Take in a coastal walk along the coastline on the community boardwalk.
• Picnic Lunch Oceanside
• Travel to beautiful Trout River Fjord and then to the majestic Tablelands.
• Board the Water Taxi and Travel back to the town of Norris Point.
• Another beautifully prepared sea food feast for dinner
• Today we travel to Western Brook Pond. Today we being a 4km walk to the Western Brook Fjord.
• Here we will board the West Brook 2 and travel the awe inspiring 700m glacial carved fjord.
• Once we return we will have a beautiful picnic lunch and walk the moose yard in search of the illusive moose.
• In the evening we take in the SS Ethie shipwreck and the travel to Cow Head for an Dinner Theatre based on the events that took place hosted by the Gros Morne Theatre Festival.
• Being the morning and travel to Rocky Harbour taking in the Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse and a few of the shorter walks around the shoreline in the area.
• In the evening we travel back to Norris Point taking in the Marine Biology Station to get an idea of our marine life in the park. Here they have touch tanks to see the marine life up-close.
• Travel to beautiful town of Cow Head on the North end of the park and complete a small walk on the old mail road and broom Point Fishing Exhibit.
• In the evening after our Picnic Lunch we travel to St Pauls to board our zodiac and travel beautiful St Pauls Bay. This place is full of wildlife. Seals which are seen on every trip litter the shallows on rocks taking in the summer sun and moose, caribou and black bear are frequently seen.
• Explore the coastlines of Sallys Cove and our farm before heading back to Deer Lake.
• Flight times may vary for everyone on departure day and some may stay an extra day.
